Whiny Monica

I am in a state of being whiny and selfish. I keep pricing digital cameras and they are just too expensive still. Now I have 2 expensive ones and gave them to my kids while deep in depressionville from drinking. Now sober I want one to have so much. Maybe I'll have "extra" cash for one next month. I've looked online and in some stores. The memory cards have gotten cheaper, but the cameras with some little extras are still close to $100. Excuse my semi rantings, just needed to vent. Thanks for listening and still loving me. Monica

If that was a whine, you go right ahead, truly that sounds like a wish.

I understand your frustration big time.  My ex and his wife go to Europe all the time, and have a nice big house.  I screwed up my finances, and can't afford expensive vacations, or my own home. 

Page 417, I think, in the AA Big Book has the acceptance passage that helps me stay centered most of the time.

In the meantime, feel free to whine all you want.  We all have days like that.  Being honest about them is a first step to working through them.

Hey Monica...all the money that you are saving from not drinking...why not start saving for that camera?? Just an idea...Look at Walmart and see what they have. Prices aren't so bad there. ;-)

Hey Monica, I agree with Judy, can you put some money aside every couple weeks and look for a sale? (Yeah, this from a compulsive/impulsive spender.) I love my digital camera ... I got mine on QVC a couple of years ago. If you shop around, you can find some good deals.

Hey, feel free to vent ... I do it all the time ... it keeps me semi sane. (notice the semi ... never said I was sane).

 I just got one 70.00. Best buy. Well actually I found it under my car..... but I priced it and it was 69.00 at best buy. I have several sd cards. Ill give ya one. Call me. Carla Im waiting........

Honestly Monica - you need a lesson in whining!! I could teach you how to be a pro in that department.Yours was a simple wish.

Hugs Monica, you are doing so great. I'm sure your kids are enjoying your camera's you gave them. Now when you save up your money, treat yourself to a better camera, one you will have forever. That will be your reward for loving yourself and staying sober.

Then when you get depressed, take your new camera out and take pictures of your doggie.
