Glad you are OK ... toe problems can be miserable (I had an ingrown nail a couple years ago ... ouch!). Hope you are feeling better.

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a quick check in as I rolled over and took a few extra minutes this morning. Now it's time to shower and get ready for work.

It's going to be a very busy spring. Seems like almost every weekend will involve travel either to Seattle or Chehais where our daughter lives. Added a wedding shower weekend in 2 weeks.

Then. . . can't wait for this one. For my birthday and Christmas my son bought 2 tickets to see Paul Simon in Seattle on April 15th. Hope he can still sing! I could take anyone but my son is available so it will be a mom/son date night. Really must get in the shower. You all have a great day.

Morning Nancy and OFF family!!!!

Well today I am finally working the late shift so I can post early enough on here...lol Hate the late shift though...grrrrr

Yesterday at work after I came out of the freezer my glasses were frostedover and I took them off sl I could see and dam!! One of the nose pieces came off!! Snapped right off!! So I had to wait til the optical lady came in so I could have it fixed. She replaced both nose pads for me free of charge!! Now that was nice of her!!!

Friday night I talked with the store manager about opening a 401K. So now I am the proud mother of a 401K. Its not much but its something for me when I retire in a few years. Atleast I hope it will be something...lol

Weather here is calling for rain today...90% chance of it. Temp is 35* right now and cloudy. Good news s monday we could see 65*!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!

Well I need to get going, I want to call the pain dr and see what he can do for my pain. Also need to pay some bills and go to the bank before work today.

I'm about to go to work in a few minutes.  It's March Break so I don't have to teach; I'm marking, planning, preparing, etc.

Good morning everyone!  Hubby is gone to Saudi and I'm alone in the house, so I took advantage and slept as long as I wanted.  I may just have a pajama day today.  No need to get dressed and go anywhere.  I'm thinking about having a Nook reading day.

But THEN I have plenty to do while DH is gone this   hitch.  Several projects on the horizon, including a Winnie the Pooh quilt for my little grandson.  But today I just need to rest and take it easy.  Haven't had much chance to do that since my surgery, 3 weeks ago today. 

Darn scale is STILL stuck.  Six days now.  But I'm trying not to worry over it.  I'm trying to act on all the good advice I've gotten here.  Already drank my first glass of water this morning.  And I feel lighter, dang it!  I know there is less of me.  I can tell by the way my clothes fit.  But somebody please tell me again that I didn't go through all of this just to lose 20 pounds!

LOL Vickie...STAY OFF THE SCALES EVERY DAY!!!!! The weight WILL come off!!! You will hit a stall ALOT of stalls!!! You had MAJOR surgery and your body is wondering what happened!! The weight is coming off and soon you will see that more of it has disappeared again!!! TRUST ME!!! Like I told you before...I had so many stalls I do not know how I lost the weight I did!!!

You didn't go through all of this to lose 20 pounds.
The next time you get on the scale, you will probably be amazed that you have dropped as many pounds as you have.  The body has a way of shrinking without the drop in pounds showing until the body wants it to. 
Be not afraid  -  the weight loss will come and you'll be amazed!

Hi Vicki....No you didn't go thru all this just to lose 20lbs! LOL  Just remember is it not all about numbers...the scale is only ONE indicator..and the most UNRELIABLE!  From morning to night, I gain 2lbs!! LOL  You've noticed your clothes are not as tight..be thankful!  That means the skin is shrinking!!  Think about it.....if you lose only fat and the skin doesn't take the time to shrink....well, you get the picture ;-(  A stall at 3 weeks is perfectly normal...just keep following the 'rules', get your water and vitamins in...and keep exercising..maybe even change up the exercise routine....the weight will come off!!

Hang in there...a year from now you'll laugh at your impatience...but what a trip!  Be sure to take pictures...they are worth a 1000 words ;-)

Afternoon all
Sitting in my office...staring at the walls...and out the window LOL.....today is one of those most rarest of days...I don't have anything that I HAVE to do today...unbelieveable!  I should start shredding old paperwork..the piles are accumulating lol.  It's raining again..and will be off and on everyday this week thru Sunday.  At least it is warmer storms that last week which came down from Alaska...mid 50's and rain is tolerable.

Yesterday was just plain yucky....started out ok but didn't last :-(   Had a disagreement with DH over my car, which needs an oil change and a smog check (for license renewal) and then had to listen to the guys at work tell me their opinion of how, where, when to take the car in (so I wouldn't miss work, of all things!).  Tried to go to my line dancing exercise class last nite but the freeway traffic was virtually at a dead stop...all 5 lanes!!  Turned around, came home with the intention of going out again in an hour to go to my support group meeting...traffic was still backed up.  With the price of gasoline, I'm not sitting in traffic, going 5miles an hour and burning fuel I need to last me until the 1st.  Went to bed early only to toss and turn because I was still upset about disagreement with DH.  Some days it just isn't worth getting up :-(

Today like I said is better...just boring.  And what do we do when we're bored??? Oh yeah...look for the munches!  And today would be the day my co-workers would bring in the M & M's :-((((((.  I broke down, ate 4....which was totally ridiculous!...I just finished my 'good' lunch.  Looks like I better start on that shredding...anything that will keep me in my office and away from the candy dish ;-)
Hope all have had a good day...I saw a robin in the tree outside of work this morning when I got in...Spring MUST be near!
