I haven't gone to bed yet.  March Break started today and I think that it has already gone to my head even though I don't have it off!
I'm going to hit the sack and log in again tomorrow to see how y'all are doing.

I am busy with midterm grades.  I have one more class to enter and I am done with that chore.  My major chore this weekend is to entertain my two grandbabies.  They are old enough now to sit through a movie without major problems, so DH and I have taken them to the theater.  So today, we are headed to see some cartoon movie.  Yeah!!  Then, cookies this afternoon.  I plan their weekends by events: one event, another event, then bed time.  If it is pretty, we are heading to the park.

I am losing again.  Not a bad thing for me; however, the doctor doesn't like to see the scale move either way. I haven't actually weighed, but I can tell in my clothing and people are making comments about my weight.  The good news is that I don't feel bad, so it's not from me being sick.  I think it's just that I've been spending a lot of time researching, and that keeps me from eating.  Also, this semester, I teach all the way across campus, which is probably a mile down hill and a mile up hill to get back to my office.  That might also be the problem.  Whatever it is, I will compensate with more calories.

Well, I hope you guys' weekend is restful.

So jealous that you will share your day with your Gkids. Have fun, I know you will. Missing ours so much. Snuggle a neck for me.

Margo,

I remember, when I first started to Graduate School, before WLS, going up to the University with dread.  DH and I walked the path from one building to another, finding my classes and locating benches along the way for me to sit on, timing my walk and rest times, so I would know how much time needed.  I also remember thinking how awfully far it was and how short of breath I would become and how much pain I would be in.  Then, trying to sit in those awful desks.  Now, I run around that campus at record speed and think nothing of walking miles when others take the bus. The other day, my students were doing presentations, and I was sitting in the front row in one of their desks and I was thinking how much room there was in the seat and between my belly and the actual desk part.  Yep, I've, like many of you, come along way.

I still cannot get over all those things that I do now that I had forgotten were normal activities.  Just the other day, I was putting my hose on.  Not a big deal--except, I was standing up and holding my hose in my hands and bending over while balancing on one foot and putting the other foot in the toe of the hose.  Yeah:  I never wore hose until I lost weight, but never dreamed that I would be standing and balancing and putting the foot…well, you know.

So, like you guys, I am in constant celebration over all those things that I do now.  I never take forgranted booths or public restrooms, or jeans with a snap and zipper or shoes that are cute and underwear that are cute and seat belts without extendors.  I could go on and on but you know.

It's good to see you balancing school, work, and the board too.

Good mornin', ya'll.
So VERY happy to hear our forum gals are safe. I am heartbroken to hear and see all of the devistation in Japan. Our son has friends stationed in Okinawa and they are shaken, but safe. That nuclear plant problem will impact Japan for years.
There is nothing more wonderful than having grandkids nearby. When my kids were little their grandma used to kiss them in their "snuckin" spot and always get giggles. Mom said us kids all got the snuckin spot treatment and my grandkids all experienced that fun. Your snuckin spot is right on the back of the neck. Lots of loud kissing and snuggling there will get everyone giggling. I'd chase the little ones all over the house threatening them, til they let me catch them and get their snuckin'!
I told everyone I would be unavailable all day today. I am finishing the Pirate today, and maybe cut out the next costume. Not sure which one that will be. Maybe the super hero.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good Morning Margaret and OFF!
Well, it is Saturday and the day to sleep in unless of course you are ANGUS who decided 0530 was the time to get up and go potty outside!  I was awake anyway, so am now watching a tv show about Ireland.  Love to go there some day!
GOOD news!
a former co worker just sold their house and needs a place to rent for about 12-18 months until their new house is built and looked at my house in Ohio yesterday....THEY WANT TO RENT IT! Yeah!
her husband is a carpenter and he loves to keep busy with projects so they will even work on the house while living there so perhaps when they move out I can sell it.  Now here is the funny part. The husbands sister and her husband owned the house my parents bought about 2 years ago. I worked with Jill but also worked for years with her mother in law at the hospital!  go figure!
That's about all that is new in my world for the moment.  Shoulder still bothersome,  Next week we have a build session with one of our installation consultants and then next weekend I will be traveling to Ohio to finish cleaning, packing, sorting and disposing of stuff left back there.  I'll bring the stuff I want to keep and use here back with me but hope there really is not too much to bring back to Vt with me.  Anyway, that is my story for the day. Hope all are doing well, safe and happy.  hugs to all!
