Spring Forward What's New?

Candy, thanks for the heads up on the email. I had one from Tess too, so I guess I got a stinking virus on my desktop. Fortunately, I have my iPad which doesn't get infected with viruses. Still, it will be a hassle.

I slept until 8:00 and thought, gee...when I change the clock it will be 7:00 so I'm really NOT a slug-bed. That lasted until Gary reminded me that we spring forward, so now I feel like I slept the day away.

So, my nurse friend, can you tell me about faciaitis? I have a spot in my upper abdm that gets so sore I spew foul words after moving, especially when I try to get into bed and comfortable. It actually gets swollen in that area, too. My surgeon that's an area where he stitches the skin to the muscle. Damn...it's been 9 weeks, you'd think those stitches would have dissolved by now. Oh well, I see him Thursday, so we'll see what he says.

Ok, I'm off...you all take care now, ya hear?

Good Morning OFF
We remembered to set the  clocks last night so shouldn't we have woken up to warm spring weather this am??   I WANT SPRING!   I am ready to  go camping!  I wanna take my new to me toy out to a lake campground and enjoy it even if its too cold to go out side!    Somehow using the new grill hubby got me for the motor home to make he and my Little charges pancakes and eggs  is not the same as being out camping!     That's OK  Little Bugs got her bigbig cake and our new charge want fwopcakes!  Flopcakes because we flop them over?   The joys of the working of 3 and 4 yr old minds!
The more I see of the horrific destruction of Japan the more I pray. Then the more I pray  the more I see of that tragedy.   So if I stop praying will that keep it from seeming any worse?   Kinda doubt it  so guess Ill keep on with the prayers   they wont hurt anyway.Off to church  then I guess we are heading for ponderosa with some from church for lunch.  I'M not sure of our new little ones behavior might get interesting!!
Prayers for all off friends and everyone have a great Sunday!

Good Morning all!  Everyone sounds like they are doing ok.  That's good.  Spent the whole day outside yesterday messing around the yard.  Still getting the old skirting back up from leveling the trailer last weekend.  Going to have Eddie till the main garden space today and put out some lettuce, spinich, radishes, and my luffa starts.  I have some brocolli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts to pick up on Monday to plant too.  I hope I didn't wait too long on those.  Today we are cleaning out the shed.  Everything is just thrown in there and we can't find a thing.  We need to get it organized again.  Feeling much better on the increased trammadol.  I should have said something a lot sooner.  Need to set my clocks ahead, I forgot last night.  Everyone have a wonderful day.

Morning y'all!  Hubby and I decided to set our clocks ahead last night and then just sleep until we woke up.  Can't believe it's almost 10 a.m. by the new time now.  But there you go.  I really prefer daylight savings time.  I wish they would just leave it like this all year long.

This is hubby's last day home for thi****ch.  Tomorrow I have to take him to the airport in Houston.  Back to Saudi for another month.  I wish things would settle down over there.  Makes me so nervous for him to fly in and out of there.  I know he's pretty safe once he reaches the rig, but all that travel through the airports is scary to me.  He tells me not to worry; says he's never felt threatened.

Today we are planting our garden.  Not a real big garden this year.  I won't have time to mess with it much this summer.  I plan to be on the road a lot, going to see my little grandson!  I bought a few annuals for my back flower bed, too.  I hope I'm up to doing some digging.  I sure do get tired easily since surgery.

Okay, big question:  I have hit a stall in my WL.  Is this normal?  The scale hasn't moved in several days.  I'm trying not to obsess about it.  I just keep following my eating routine like always.  Seems like that darn scale ought to be moving at least a little!  Tuesday will be 3 weeks out.  Any thoughts or advice?

OK, deep breath. Exhale. Remember we did not get obese overnight and we will NOT become thin and healthier overnight either.
So do you use a measuring tape?? This is a GREAT tool cause when the scale doesn't move the tape measure will show a loss.
UP your protein. I know you are DRINKING TONS OF WATER, RIGHT!!!!!. Pee the pounds away. Are you using a food tracker? I found FitDay.com easy to use and populate with favorite foods and this added tool helped me make sure I was EATing enough. Strange that we have to EAT to LOSE, but we do. Body does not want to shed pounds if we don't take in enough calories.
Keep it simple. Be good to you. Deep breth, exhale and continued success on this journey.

Thank you, Monica!  I know you are right.  I'm trying very hard to drink my water.  That's the hardest thing for me.  I think I'm doing ok with the food.  I've been following the doctor's diet pretty closely.  Tomorrow I get to start on soft foods.  I think that will be a little easier for me than the pureed foods.

So, I took your advice and I measured.  Hurray!  I've lost inches everywhere!  You're so right about that being a mood lifter.

Okay, I'm going to refill my water bottle now and go outside to dig in the dirt.  I know that will make me feel better.  Always does.

Kudos to you on your 130 days!!!  I'm proud of you!

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

We are still fighting the flu bug here. Pretty much just laying around and not doing much. At least we all have it at once so none of us feel like doing anything.

Cloudy today....miss the sunshine this morning. I agree....where is spring???

Still saying prayers for all those involved in the earthquake and flooding and such. So much loss of life and devastation.

Wishing you all a great day.....prayers for those in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hello everyone. I am checking in late today. This Sunday was a "sick day" for me - i have been fighting off a UTI, sore throat, earaches, and laryngitis for a few days. On antibiotics for the UTI....so you'd think that would help to tackle everything else, right?

Anyway, I missed church today. It gave hubby Mike a chance to sit with me a while and read/snooze. His work schedule and demands are intense right now and will continue to be that way for the next year or so, so it was a blessing in disguise for him. (He's at work now for a few hours, but much better than it would have been, believe me.)

Hopefully tomorrow will find my energy level back where it needs to be! Till then, resting with music on and a little computer time and that's about it.

Oh, feel better soon!  Those UTI's are the pits!  (and all that other stuff isn't much fun either!)
