Spring Forward What's New?
Good Morning OFF Family,
I am up early, and want to go back to sleep, but probably won't, though it is tempting.
Today has me taking Mom to the Art Museum in Philly to see an exhibit about her hometown. That is if she still wants to go. All she seems to want to do anymore is play Scrabble and go bowling. I can't bowl, so Scrabble is the Word.
Nothing else exciting.

With the time change over night, it feels like I am up in the middle of the night.....I really have a tough time getting used to daylight saving time in the spring.
Off to church in a little while and then no plans for today. Have some chicken tenders thawing in the refrigerator...will try baking them and see how they turn out.

Friday I sent out a text and put on my Facebook page that Gramma would be unavailable from 8 AM to 8 PM on Saturday. I had the best time in my craft room. I have the Pirate costume done, except sewing on a few buttons! My nifty buttonholer would not work on 2 thicknesses of my red velveteen! I also got a lot organized in there. Hooray!!
Today I'll put on the buttons. The pattern says men's extra large, but I gotta tell you, I DO NOT think this is big enough! I'll have a grandson try it on today!
Still praying for the thousands affected by the earthquake in Japan!

I have always enjoyed the Commissary at Camp LeJune. We have stayed there often at the camp ground. Also love the little Catholic Church.
I would love to see photo's of your last 2 projects. I get such joy after seeing your products.

Yes, the campground area at Lejuene is great. We used to stay there when we were trailering, so did my folks.

Getting ready for Mass. Back from brisk walk with Yoda and hubby.
We have a Veterans BBQ today at campground. We are bringing a watermelon & cantaloupe mix. They asked for salads or coleslaw so I wanted to be different.
Cool again here this AM, but it will warm up. The badly needed rains on Friday knocked down the pollen. A good thing.
Prayers to those people of Japan. Hoping the disaster does not escalate further. USS Ronald Reagan has arrived. Keep our military members safe.
We have 4 clocks in RV and each one has different times, need to fix that after Mass. I put up a quick message on FB to change the clocks ahead. Got some cute and thankful replies.
Heard from Candy and we are finalizing plans on a girls day with Carla, Candy, and me. Traveling bras on the go.

Good Sunday Morning Trish and OFF!
How is everyone today? I'm doing just fine. Those of you on Facebook know my "rodent" story from last night! I emptied the last of the dog food into my plastic storage container there was a MOUSE at the bottom sitting on top of the food in the container! EEEKS I screeched! picked up the cat and had him look at it. No comment or activity. Hmmmm. mouse not scurrrying around I stuffed some paper towel into a plastic grocery bag and picked up the little thing, tied up the bag and threw it outside. EEKS! That was the excitement in my life this weekend! Been doing some knitting, working on a new project for me or someone, kind of a jacket type thing. Need to do laundry today and some ironing, now it's time to eat! Hope you all have a great day!

I am sitting here with the television playing some of the Japan things, while we here in NJ ddn't have an earthquake some of the people in north Jersey are flooded out of their homes because of the rains this past week, coupled with the ground not fully thawed and the heavy snows, so much going on in our world that is nature at it's worst, prayers for all. . .
Well I made it to my cousin's birthday party and it was a fun time, got home at almost 1 a.m. and woke up at the new time of 8, I am tired and will probably stay home doing laundry in my new washing machine and just taking it easy prepping for an interview tomorrow.
Well that about covers my day, I will do thngs as I am feeling them, hope you all enjoy the extra hour of sunlight that is now going to be a part of our days until Nov 6.

I was up at 8 am, my regular time. Forgot to set the clocks ahead, so it's supposedly 9. It'll take me a while to get used to this, but I do enjoy the "longer" days. I'm getting the itch to head out to the yard, but drowning is a distinct possibility. When I get home from my little trip, it should be perfect to go out and make an assessment of winter damage. And probably pull some weeds. Sigh...That seems to be a lot of what I do out there....
I went to a nursery open house yesterday and ordered a few bare root flowering shrubs. They'll hold them till I'm ready in April. Now I have to find space for them. Guess I'll talk to the neighbor about dressing up our common property line....
This afternoon I take my niece to the airport for her trip to Florida. I go later this week, but to a different area with different friends. And of course, I get to see Carla again and to meet Monica! I'm really looking forward to it!
This week will be laundry, ironing, shortening a few pair of pants, and cleaning the house so the cat sitter doesn't refuse to stay here. Other than that, same old, same old.
It's Daylight Savings time. Spring must be here!!!!!
