We've all been thinking of you and also Sue M on Molokai. So happy you are safe. I can't imagine you sleeping through all of that. I remember how noisy the waves were at the condo we rented just down the road from you. Hope the pool isn't full of sea creatures!

Karen...glad to see you posting...means at least the internet is still up and running..the first flight from Hawaii is landing in San Francisco any time now (10:20pm PDT).  Hope there is no longer a threat to the islands from any future aftershocks :-(
Take care and on high ground ;-)

So glad to hear you are safe and "dry" Karen.  I have a friend that has a daughter going to art school on Maui and she is also safe.  Thank God.  Here in NW North Dakota we are experiencing the aftermath of a blizzard and interstates and major roads are closed due to compacted snow and ice.  It seems wherever, people are experiencing bad weather of some sort.  To all of you on OFF, I will keep you in my prayers for safety and good health.

Hugs to all,
Sandy

Karen, glad you are OK. Saw the waves on Maui and I knew the harbor you are talking about ... came into that during my cruise.  Scary, I'm sure.

Years ago, when I lived in Montana, we had a small earthquake, 4.5 or something ... I slept through it. I could sleep through anything back then.

Aloha Eileen......The harbor you came into on the cruise ship wa**** pretty hard. Water all the way up to Safeway/Longs....about two blocks from harbor. Several boats were sunk or bashed against each other.

I love seeing the ships docked in the harbor. I usually see them when I'm on the way to the hospital in the morning all lit up because it's still dark outside. Those cruise ships dwarf the town of Kahului.....like two big hotels sitting in the water.....Ha.

Nice to know you have been here. Next time let me know...I'll come meet your ship.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
