Aloha Jan and OFF family,

Jan...thank you so much for posting those for me. I must learn how to do that.

These were taken by a friend who was out in a kayak when this big fellow (or mama) decided to show off for her. I have never been lucky enough to be this close to these magnificent creatures, although I do see them breaching and playing with their new babies often from afar. My friend saw a mama give birth and the bloody water. The mama then lifted the baby out of the water with her nose for his first breath. Wow..........makes me feel very small, and very appreciative to be able to observe such magic.

I hope those of you who could see these find a way. I know I have trouble opening some pictures from friends, too. Very frustrating.

Went to doc this morning....eye is getting better but still have stitches for a few more weeks. It is rather painful and irritating, but hey....it's temporary.

Big hugs to all of you....and glad you could see a little part of my world...thanks to JAN!!

Aloha nui loa,

Karen

Aloha dear Judy........Thank you for caring about my eye. The doc this morning did "snip" one of the stitches so that it' not rubbing directly on my eyelid. That was driving me NUTS. I wanted to dig my fist into my eye, but knew I couldn't. So far it' feeling a whole lot better and I think I'LL be able to last the new few weeks that the stitches are in. Surely hope I can see when they all come out.

Volcanoes are blowing their stacks especially on the big ISLAND. One news report said a wall of red lava 80 feet tall was working it' way down the mountain and into the sea. Luckily no homes or resorts in it's path. Mother Nature is sure showing her colors this year. I wonder what that means......maybe we need to be kinder to one another?

THANKS FOR ALL YOU SHARE, JUDY. I LOVE YOUR SPIRIT.L

ALOHA NUI LOA,

MAUI KAREN

Karen would wearing a patch over that eye help any?

Yeah ole mother nature sure is messing around with us!!! Right now we are getting heavy wet snow again here in ohio!!! Up to a foot if not more by the end of it!!! GRRRRRRR As for what it might mean...end of the world comes to mind...2012...many believe that it will end. Never know anymore.

Aw shucks Karen I don't do anything special...just babble at times... :-)

Breath-taking!  My sister kayaks down in Mexico in the Sea of Cortez but she's never gotten this close!  this would be like standing next to a 50ft m/home LOL  God has a way of humbling us ;-)
Thanks Jan!!  And Karen!
