Friday.....new???
sending prayers and concern to Maui karen and Sue in Hawaii; all of our West Coast sisters.......
this newest earthquake and tsunami has me "shaken" no pun intended.....i had the radio on old music so didnt hear the news before i went to bed....
anyhow- what is new in your world????
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Then back home for some breakfast and then off to work this morning. Supposed to get some sunshine today -- that will help lift our spirits.
Haven't turned news on this morning ---- seems like it's always "bad".
Have a fabulous Friday,
Pat R.

Done! Your Ticker:
Annette: The Dr's ofc told me to be at the hospital at 6:30 -- never started the test until 7:45 (by then I was not a happy camper already.) the first MRI I had in January was on my lumbar spine and was really not so bad, this one however, had me really nervous -- there were 11 times he had me hold my breath for pictures and finally I asked him if we were almost done......we were thankfully. No more MRI's hopefully in my future. It took almost 40 minutes. Don't know how my DIL stands it when she has to have MRI's on her brain and they take a couple hours......she has MS and they have to keep checking to see if there are more lesions.
Thanks for the prayers -- I know there are many from my friends and family and I so appreciate that.
Hugs,
Pat

Yikes, 8.9 earthquake! Yes, the first thing I thought of was our dear Karen, and then the folks on the WC. I think this is the largest earthquake I can remember.
A big nothing going on today, just two clients at work then I guess I'll come on back home to prevent any temptation for some retail therapy. Sigh
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Susan
Couldn't sleep anymore. Up at 5:00a.m. I have a trip to the oncologist for a shot to bring up my white cell count at 9:00 a.m. So I have to leave at 8:30 a.m. to get there.
Got my first pay check with the deductions for short term disability. I'm not seeing the numbers jiving, so I've put in an email to our payroll person. Who needs this when I'm fuzzy headed enough from my meds???
Worried about all those who may be effected by the tsunami/earthquake. It's raining steadily here. Our local river has come out of it's banks earlier in the week. Swept away cars and flooded homes. And now more rain. More flooding to happen.
Not much planned for today. After my shot I thought I would see if there is a support group meeting today at the cancer center. I need it. I'll hang around and do a little shopping. I got two new wigs from PaulaYoung.com. They fit so much better than the others I have. The others were like a one size fits all and as much as I hate to admit it, I've got a big melon on my neck. Going by their measurement chart, I ordered a large. They don't feel like they are climbing up my neck or strangling my head. What a relief. It makes it easier to go out in public. The price was great too. My first two wigs cost $350 total. These two only cost $90 total.
My lower back is hurting so I'm going to eat some yogurt so I can take my pills.
Thoughts and prayers going out to all of you.
Bev
Good mornin' ya'll.
Nope, nothing new on this Friday! PT, a quick stop at the store for fresh raspberries then home to continue work on my Pirate, ARGGGGHHH!
I am praying for all the folks under Tsunami watch. When we lived in AK, (Adak, no place fun), we had a tsunami watch and everyone had to rush up to Berring Hill to stay safe. Of course, there were idiots down on the beaches waiting to see the Tsunami when it arrived. That meant MP's had to risk their lives to go shew everyone out of there. No big waves showed up, but I'm just sayin'! What were those folks thinkin'?
All of these disasters has me thinking about how fragile our lives are. When Mother Nature decides to flex her muscles we just have to wait and pray. Earthquakes, flooding, torrential rains, massive snow storms, tornadoes, hurricanes! Scarey stuff. Everyone please take care. My Dad used to say all you could do was grab your ankles and kiss your a** goodbye!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Sore all over from the purging cleaning we did yesterday. I really worked helping hubby and he let me. He is such a fussy cleaning machine and usually won't accept help, but he did and he made me feel good about my efforts and results.
Even Yoda helped clean, watching with interest as the vacuum roared, dust flew, furniture moved, floors scrubbed. He had to make sure his 4 toys were again placed around the floor. Each toy got a sniff and then rearranged to his liking.
Cool here, only about 45, so I am bundled up with longjohns, socks, fleece hoodie, and long fleece robe. At 330 lbs I was always SO hot, now I often cold. I know 45 is not really cold, but I do like to whine.
Sober 128 days and so proud of me.
Have a super Friday. Prayers for those out there and hugs.
Monica
I'll be busy today at work, "purging the office" getting rid of old files and I'll be busy. Dressed today with T-Shirt and slacks that move with you...I'm sure I'll be sweating by the end of the day!
Did a great workout in the warm therapy pool and slept well last night. I think I'll do the same workout today and destress myself here from work!
All this bad weather around the world, it's scary. Have a niece stationed in Hawaii along with Karen and Sue...prayers going around the world today. Tornado's, earthquakes and tsunami's.
Hubby is taking our grandson on his class trip to the museum today, filling in for mommy who has a doctor apt. She is going to have another baby in October! Hugs to all. Debbie
I too just heard the news about the earthquake. AM sending many prayers for all. I have a nephew stationed in Japan somewhere but he is home on leave right now which is good as far as the family is concerned as we know he are safe.
heading out for a day of errands and driving for the local social services. Little Bugs is excited about going to Marys so she can help Mary make bigbigcakes!
Prayers for all friends here
Have a great day!
