Hello Monica and OFF Family,
I am late again.  I had to get to my AA meeting first thing this morning,a nd then took Mom to the Salvation Army for half-price bargains and to pick up some clothes for my granddaughter, and a few items for myself.  It takes a lot to impress me for myself, but we found some cute things for Isabel, even in larger sizes.

After Thrift Store shopping, we went to Mom's favorite grocery store for more bargains, and then took Mom back to my sister's and came home to put my perishables away.  After lunch, I checked Facebook, and now I have some phone calls to make.

Tonight it is Chinese food at my nephew's and Scrabble.  Mom loves Scrabble, which is sometimes torture to me, but we humor her as much as humanly possible.  Mom will be in town till Monday.

Oh, I have to unpack my Avon order and bag part of it for my customers and put away the items I got my granddaughter for her birthday.  I hope she likes the clothes I got her and the doll.

Sorry to babble.

Hugs,
Trish

Hey Trish...I am the one babbling today....LMAO are your thrift stores cheap? The ones here in ohio aure aren't!!! When I go back home to Michigan I always stop in at the thrift stores and get LOTS of bargains!!! Here I might as well go get new stuff for what they charge!!!

I play Scrabble by myself...sighs....or on the computer...LOL

Today's Thrifts Store bargains were everything except the clothes with green tags were half price.  So, I got some items for $1 or $2.  Mom got my granddaughter a whole bag of clothes and spent about $8.  I spent more, because I was also buying myself some stuff.

I have not checked the Thrift Stores where my daughter is in Michigan.  I will have to do that next time I am out there.

Hi Monica and OFF peeps
Wow...a whole lot of you have already posted!  I remember a few postings: Monica..CONGRATS on 126 days!  That is empowerment dear lady!!
Trish...I LOVE my thrift stores. Goodwill is a bit pricey compared to Salavation Army and EcoThrift but they sure beat the retail outlets. I would never buy the big-ticket Name Brands at retail..but in the thrift stores I never pay over $7 for anything LOL  Wait long enough and the price is always reduced to get off the hangers.
All of you suffering pain....I can't remember all the names...but my heart goes out to you!  I agree with whoever wrote..have a heart to heart with your doctors...in this day and age, even with WLS, we should NOT have to suffer in pain..and definitely NOT Quietly!
Connie....I am sooo jealous of you getting to stay home...even if it is only temporary or not...I think I could get use to not making the daily commute very easily and quickly LOL  Sounds like you are making great strides in the adjustment period from the move...be sure to make that ME time...you deserve to take care of yourself!
to the rest of OFF...I'm terrible with names and the memory just isn't what it use to be...but know that I so enjoy everyone's postings.  Prayers to all!

My day is just routine of work...tho it is really slow since I got month end financials completed early...Board of Directors meeting this month and Boss was chomping at the bit to reveiw before packets are printed and put together.  I did finish my 3 day training to be an OH Support Group Leader yesterday...now just need to decide what direction to take it in...but it is part of my committment to keep this weight off and to 'pass-forward' to newbies what this journey is all about ^_^
Time to ret
urn to work, such as it is ;-)  Hope you all had a great day and an even better evening.

I know- I'm late again... School is almost out. I get to going and the day is gone before I can take a breath. Nothing much is going on here except for work and dogs, work and dogs, work and dogs.... suffice it to say that our newest dog Penny is a handful. Tomorrow is her vet appointment. hopefully we can determine the needs- spaying, shots? I've never had a stray dog before- they were usually puppies or dogs that were given away that had a history.
I'm going into the busiest portion of my school year. In addition to therapy I have lots of testing and prep for next year- meetings, reports, IEPs. I have 20 students to test, do paerwork and hold meetings for in the next two months. I have to squeeze the testing and meetings around state testing schedules and Spring Break. I always feel somewhat frantic in March/April. Then in May everything winds down, and by the end of May I'm done for the school year... until August. So June and July are soooooo relaxing (barring accidents, of course)!
I need to go to Costco on the way home. I need some food and some paper for school. Hope you are all enjoying your evening!

So you got another dog?  wow, that is nice, I want to get Roxie a playmate so bad, but Tony says NO and I guess financially speaking he is right, but heartwise, well I'd probably have a housefull and be happy to have 'em. ..  you found a stray?  where?  poor baby, well she got lucky having you find her. . .  school ending again, sheesh, the time flies. . .  we get older and wiser each year (lol). . .

Hugs, L

YES- another dog! We must be crazy, but she needed a home and I just couldn't take her to the pound. She's a chocolate lab, a couple of years old I think... very beautiful and sweet, but so neglected. She's very happy here... still getting potty trained and getting used to the good life. Having two is not that easy... it's triple the mess, I swear. They play hard in the outside, make mud, bring it in, wrestle inside. Lots of training to be done...

Hi Monica, Everyone else who already been here. . .

Work is busy, big trial, lots of people from out of town, so I sit here at the front desk waiting for them to make requests, ordered dinner for 30 people tonight, lots of fish and I had a piece of "rock fish" stripped bass, OMG, it was delish. . .  now I am sitting and waiting and will probably leave here about 10/10:30 p.m., which is normally my bedtime, so I probably won't be in bed before midnight and back to the office by 8 in the morning and then doing it again tomorrow night. . .  fun, fun, fun. . .

Anyway, I'm missing my Roxie girl right now. . .

I am sooooooo proud of you Monica, you are really doing well and here you are doing the daily thread. . .  I love reading about your life, as well as everyone elses. . . all of us are such a diverse group, living lives that are very likely only the ones we dreamed about for a portion of our lives.

Oh well, no one is likely to see this post, as it comes so late, but I wanted to respond and say hi.

Hugs, Laureen
