Hump Day-Lets crack some eggs-Whats up

Debbie ever since I had the slip on the ice I haven't been right!! I think everything the pain dr did for me came undone!!! GRRRRR I think I am ging to have to call him and see what he has to say...I think I will be going through the blocks again but not sure...between the back, hips and now the feet I HURT!!!

I've also had back pain but that isn't anything new for me. I've been wearing my SAS walking shoes for the past month to see if that helps my back pain. As soon as I get home I'm sitting in the recliner with my heating pad to my back.
Just keep keeping on. Everything hurts when it's your back and feet. Hugs Debbie

Yeah I know...but when you hurt so bad you are about in tears....its time to call the doc again...and the tramadol just doesn't work like the darvocet did... :-( I have good shoes also and still the pain is there...

 

 

You might just suggest to the doctor a pain "****tail". Be firm but nice and remind him you had WLS and pain pills work different on us. I have a friend that is a pharmacist and she said they really need to do more studies on pain medication for us. I don't like taking meds at all but hey if you need them there is no reason for any of us to be in pain.
So really make this doc sit down with you and have eye contact with him/her and tell him you are not drug seeking, you are in pain and deserve the best care possible. For you that is getting Darvocet back on board or try a pain ****tail. Good luck, be firm and get the best possible medicaions to relieve your pain. Hugs Debbie

They took darvocet off the market because it caused some heat problems/death in some people. So that is why I can't take it anymore. Vicodin I am like a zombie for 3 days on just 1 pill. Percocet I walk around like I am drunk...so this is why he gave me the tramadol. So i need to try something else I guess I don't know but like you said I need to go see him and have a talk. I hurt and I can't deal with it much longer like this.

Pain is a frustrating problem for doctors and patients I think. The opiates work the best but they make driving and functioning difficult. I wish I knew better answers too. I am living with pain now but choose not to take meds unless it's quite severe... and then usually at night so that I can drive to work and function.

Hi Julia...that is what I usually do is take them at night before bed so I can sleep. BUT now I am getting the pain more intense during the day time now and need something to help releive that pain so I can work. I just can't win anymore...grrrr I have also tried wearing the heat patch but that doesn't seem to help much at all.

Quick question, do you drink enough decaffinated fluids and are you taking your vitamins, because a lack thereof can cause the charlie horse in your toes. . .  I know cause it was happening to me. . .  awful. . .

Hi Laureen...its NOT charlie horse in my toes...its pain in my toe that I had surgery in that I am having and it feels like a charlie horse...and yes I am taking my vitamins again and I am drinking enough water along with decaf pop and tea, coffee...

Good morning Monica and everyone...

We got a little snow last night....roads were slick....now it is all melting.....YAY!!!! I am soooooo ready for summer!! Tired of wearing all these layers all the time and still being cold!

I just put a roast, potatoes, carrots and onions in the crock pot to cook. Love it when supper/dinner can be so easy!!!

Grace spent the last night at her dad's...it was nice to be alone with Nic as Jamie was at work. We always have so much fun! Nic decided to stay with me so I wouldn't be alone....LOL  That was sweet but I do hope to have some time for me somewhere down the line!

Like I said before it is so strange not to be working......starting to like it more now!
