Good Morning All,

Had a wonderful birthday yesterday. Number 62; I should get my first SS check in May.

Stayed up late to sign us up for a "quickly sold out" tour of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. My dad worked out there (about 30 miles from here) for many years. It will be interesting to see the old townsites. People were moved with a lot of secrecy and little notice in the early 1940s as they prepared to make the firrst nuclear bomb.

I've always wanted to take the once a year tours. So up I stayed til midnight to be one of the first to book. Now I'll probably fall asleep at my desk today! Must hit the shower and get dressed. Have a good one everyone.

Happy Mardi Gras everyone.  I grew up in New Orleans and Mardi Gras was always such a special deal.  Twelve days of parades with Mardi Gras day the big finale.  We used to make mini floats for school out of shoe boxes.  Of course i always had my Barbies on mine, lol.  After spending the weekend under the trailer, we had to take the trim off the french doors we had previously installed and relevel them yesterday.  I have been out of my pain meds since Friday and woke up this morning just wanting to cry I ache all over my body.  Hopefully the pharmacy and my pcp will have finally gotten together yesterday and they will be ready this morning.  It's overcast here this morning with a little light rain (thank goodness since we didn't put the trim back up last night).  My husband asked me to put the outside trim up this morning so the rain wouldn't get in and I just started crying.  He is having problems with his back with bulging and ruptured disks and almost constant leg pain from the pinched nerve and here I am feeling sorry for myself.  Anyway he will come on his lunch break and we will put it up together.  Whine, whine, whine.  Oh well, just one of those days.

Jealous you get to cook for your son. I haven't done that since last October. He lives in Burlington, VT and walked home to4 feet of snow in his driveway and the blizzard continued.

Good morning Grammylew and everyone....

Nothing new to report here. Went to WalMart yesterday and bought a couple more hoodies on clearance....I am always so cold!!

Today I need to call and order some refills on my meds....and a couple other calls as well.

That is about it for me......so strange not to be doing my job anymore.....I sure have relaxed!! I didn't realize how stressed that job made me.

Prayer to so many in need.

Have a really great day everyone!!

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Sunshine - what a beautiful sight. That makes me itch to start Spring cleaning. I must be nuts. Maybe I'll start a "HONEY DO" list for Tom instead.

A poor little critter didn't make it. Angelic Mouse Cat And Mouse TailOne of these furbrats left the tail and a couple of extra parts on Tom's (used to be white) sock. Too gross!

Kisses

Happy Mardi Gras Grammy Lew and OFF,
I am late to the party again today.  Had to get up to take a phone call this morning from my hematologist's office about my coumadin since I am having surgery in two weeks.  Then, off to the doctor's for a B12 shot and other assorted business.  After that, home to make phone calls for appointments and other assorted business.  I finally have time to take care of other business, like catching up with all of you.

The rest of my day is just as boring.  Tidy, knit, heat up food for supper.

I must get my diet back to basics, and stop the sugar nibbling.  Oy.

Have a blessed day,
Trish

Hi Carolyn and my OFF family:

I had a busy day yesterday: Went to the bankruptcy hearing and it went fine ... nothing much to tell there, other than I have to hand over my income tax refund, which I knew. The only problem was I had to sit there on these hard, church-pew like benches for about a half hour waiting to get in to see the trustee. By then, my back was bothering me something awful.

After that, I had some time to kill, so I went to Starbucks, picked up some coffee, drove to the pain clinic and signed in for my appointment. The first thing the girl at the front desk brings up is that I owe a balance. Well, I knew that: they told me that the last time ... $1,700, and I turned over the bill to my bankruptcy attorney. But now the bill is $290, which is what the biller was sending me all along. I don't think this company knows what they're doing. So I spent a good half hour, 45 minutes dealing with that before I got ready for my refill clinic appointment, which just took about 5 minutes ... the nurse took my BP (it was high ... no surprise, after dealing with bankruptcy, pain and bills all afternoon) and then gave me my prescription. Then I had to stand in line to check out, and hear again how I owe a balance ... aarrgh! I know the lawyer sent out a claim to this place because I have the letter.

By this time, it was after 2:30 ... stopped at CVS, got the prescription along with a few other things I needed that were on sale, then picked up Chinese food for lunch. It was nearly 3:30 by the time I got home. I was wiped out and in pain ... and now I start a 6-day stretch at work. It's raining and I didn't sleep well and I'm still in pain.

Well, I have coffee to perk me up and Juliette to keep me company and wake me up with kisses, so it's not so bad.

Have a good day.

Afternoon Grammylew and OFF gang!  Just a quick run by to say hello...find out what everyone's plans for the day are going to be...and let you all know prayers are up and said for all, even if there isn't a 'crisis' today ;-)

I finished my 3rd session for OH Support Group leader this morning...now I'm 'OFFICIAL'! LOL  Don't know exatly what direction I will go in...online support group, a physical group of my own or just act as a 'backup' for one of the groups I already belong to.  All I know is I want to 'pay-forward' what I have learned and to be an example to newbies that this surgery/tool works!!  I'm 8 days away from my 2nd Surgiversary...and still don't believe what I see in the mirror LOL

Hugs to all...and treat yourself to something special.. you all are PRICELESS!
