SNOW falling on Monday in NEK! Whats new?

Morning friends!
Here at work a little early, so will dash off a quick post.
Cold here this morning -- 18 deg.  had ice/snow yesterday morning but the sun came out and it's nearly all melted....was a bit dicey getting into church on the ice.

Had another incident of stuck food yesterday -- think it was the halibut I had for lunch.  Thought I chewed it enough, but guess I didn't.....hate that feeling of wanting to throw up and can't get anything up.   Finally laid down on my left side and could hear all kinds of gurgling in my tummy -- slept for a bit then felt much better.   Will address this with my bariatric surgeon on Wednesday at my pre-op appt. --

So looking forward to spring and warmer weather -- nice to hear the birds now in the morning.  Daylight savings time starts next Sunday -- seems it gets earlier and earlier....and just when I was enjoying getting up in the daylight.

Have a lovely Monday -- prayers and good thoughts for all here.

Pat R.

Good Monday morning all.  Val and I spent the weekend leveling the mobile home and now my front door sticks and my back french door won't close at all!  What a mess.  I am sore all over today and I'm out of my trammadol since Friday.  I called the pharmacy and asked them to refax the request to my doc asap.  I even have little rock bruises all over my hips where I was crawling and laying around on the gravel under the trailer.  My sister who paid for my RNY is worried about me.  She thinks I am too skinny and not eating enough.  I stay between 120-123 and I'm only 5 ft 1 1/2 inches tall.  I don't think that is too small.  What do ya'll think?  I wear smalls now and some size 4's.  I need to go down to a 2 for my jeans but I don't want to spend the money right now.  I've been thinking about checking out Goodwill.  I could get some cheap there.  I'll be 3 years out in June and most of my loose skin is gone too.  I still have a little but now like I was, lol.  She had a lap band about 6 months ago and has gained weight.  She is a chocoholic.  She joined weigh****chers last week and she usually does good on it.  She said it's a better, less confusing program now and more like Atkins.  Well, I have banana nut bread in the oven, the wash is going, and I need to look at what I am going to cook for supper.  Poor Val and Eddie ate around this weekend with us under the house the whole time.  I'm just now getting warmed up again.  I wore two pairs of pants, 2 shirts and a sweat shirt and gloves and was still cold.  Everyone have a good day.

Hi Debbie and my OFF family:

Girl, you can keep that snow! Don't miss that at all. One thing I could never do when we had snow like that was work from home.

It's cooler here today ... 43 degrees ... and gloomy. Maybe some rain again. I have my bankruptcy meeting and then an appointment at my pain clinic for my vicodin refill. Frosts me that I have to shell out a $50 copay just to get a drug refill, but that's the law in Louisiana ... they can't call in a refill.

Then I have the day off ... the only one this week ... but the pay will be nice.

One of my coworkers ... Bill ... his sister died Saturday ... she was only 46. Guess she had some lung disease and they gave out. So sad.

Anyway, have a good day.

Good Morning Debbie, Everyone!

Well I'm late to this party, but lucky to get a quick moment to visit with you all. . .

Nothing turned out the way it was planned yesterday and I did not get my new washer/dryer installed, nor did the old roommate come (call) to collect her stuff from the basement, but I figured she would not come, as what is snow up north was torrential rains by me yesterday, the new roommate also could not make it to move some of her stuff in, so yesterday had a sort of futile side effect for me.  Long story short, I did not have the right kit for the install, the delivery people would not punch out the water source, which was a relatively simple thing and lastly, they said they could not install it because I had installed drain pan, which according to my friend and contractor, is code when installing on a 2nd floor and it cost me over $600.  So, the contractor came, did what he had to and he will be here when the redeliver on Thr, Oh, and he took me with him to Lowes to get the right kit and spoke to the manager, so I got 10% cash back for my troubles.  The bright spot in my day was Tony, but because of all the other stuff, we were not able to have a more relaxing day, but things do work the way they are supposed to.  In between it all, I did make a great lunch of Italian specialty sausage and peppers for us.

Today begins the craziness of the big confirmation on a bankruptcy case that has been ongoing since December 08, it will involve lots of litigators and so on and for the next two weeks, it should be fun, fun, fun. . .  that being said, I'd best get back to it. . .

Wishing you all a sunny day, no matter the weather. . .

Hugs, Laureen

Our son Angus called to wish hubby Happy Bday. He walked home in a raging blizzard. His driveway has over four feet of snow, and huge drifts. He lives right off the lake and the wind is really blowing. Burlington VT has enough snow. He called while we sat at the pool sunning ourselves.

Monica, it appears that Newport got a total of 29 inches in this storm!  I'm thinking Derby Line got that much too.  I just know we got a heck of a lot!

Hi Debbie,
You must have gotten the rain we had yesterday, only in the form of snow.  That really sucks.

I am late posting today, because I had to get up really early this morning, and take a friend into Philly for some medical tests and an appointment with a specialist.  Then, I had to get some bloodwork done myself, and run an errand.  I finally splurged with my tax refund for an HDTV.  Now, I have to hook it up, and move the old one into my bedroom.  That should be fun.  These are the times I wish my sons did not live so far away.  They are a lot stronger than I am, physically, and oh so much more technilogically adept than me.

Later, if there is anymore energy, I will head over to an AA meeting a few blocks from my apartment.

Have a good rest of the day.

Hugs,
Trish
