Its Sunday whats Happening in your world

I decided to start this today since  I am doing a great job of not sleeping!!   Between Bugs  night terrors and my insomnia I think its gonna be a long night.   I keep thinking of DH probably needing surgery on his torn rotator cuff and that scares me  as he has a genetic clotting disorder that has him on high doses of cumidin and he cant be off that more than 3 days before blood clots become a danger.   AGGGGG   I need to get my brain engaged in another train of thought!!!
We have church in the Morning then  lunch with friends and a play date for Little Bugs.   I also want to find a special birthday gift for angel Mary   but what do you get angels for a gift?
I have been crocheting for the past 3 hrs with the help of a little one squirming on my lap and a small white cat helping me tangle up the yarn!    Any of you crocheters want a small white assistant to help tangle up your yarn?  Shes an expert tangler and really cute to boot!!!
Prayers going up from our house to all of yours!!

Good morning, Jo! lol..I already have LilyRose..she cannot resist my ball of wool when I'm crocheting..in fact, she reaches way down to the bottom of my bag and steals the wool ball and runs off! But then, at m,y hiuse, what's one more cat!? *s*

It's snowing again,,.last night it was 8 degrees celcius when I got home from my meeting and now everything is white again!  Son Derek just got home at 5:30 am...he had worked from 7 pm til 3 am at the club as a Bouncer, then stopped on his way home to shovel sidewalks and salt them  at some of his customer's places, got home, changed into warmer winter clothes for working outside, grabbed a ROCKSTAR to keep him awake and is now headed back out with his dumptruck and V plow to PLOW three business plazas, a church,  and his residences....looks like he wont be back home til noon, poor guy. (He had the 24 hour flu all day and night Thursday and is still feeling a but weak and tired...poor guy didnt know which end to respond to...lol.)

Saturday, after my meeting in the Falls, I made another huge pot of homemade beef/barley & vegetable soup, most of it for my 91 yr old Mom at her seniorcare facility...she doesnt eat enough but she WILL eat food that I make.  I make soup extra HIGH with protein and puree it so it's easy for her to swallow...sometimes she eats 2-3 bowls of my soup when she would not have eaten anything else.

Now the dining room staff is getting smart..they give her meals and say "Nancy made this just for you..you need to eat it!"..and she does!!

On Friday, I have to be at her nursing home to accompany Mom in the Chair-a-Van to the hospital to have a barium swallow test so see why she has so much trouble swallowing and why she seems to be aspirating liquids during meals. Her test is at 8 am which means they take Mom out at 7 am...which means I have to be THERE for Mom (to keep her calm) at 6:30 am which, in turn, means that I have to be UP at 5am, get ready and drive 45 minutes to Mom's place. Seems to me that I might as well just not go to bed the night before..I am NOT a morning person in any way, shape or form!

When I get back home after getting Mom settled back in her room and see that she is calm again (she is slowly slipping into a form of dementia and panics if she doesnt recognize where she is), I will drive home (another 45 minutes or worse depending on the weather since her nursing home is in a very bad weather area..the roads are SCAREY!, and I will take a nap then.

Yesterday I made an awesome deal..I signed on a local young woman who has won many awards for her singing..a rising young star!  She has agreed to sing at our Wellness Fair! I am so excited..this Wellness Fair has grown far beyond my expectations!

I STILL have not told my husband or sons that I am now ART DIRECTOR of a magazine..JB will freak because I am already busy....shhh! don't tell him, okay?

Well, Derek has driven away to work again and JB is up so he can monitor the weather and the phone in case Derek needs help so that means that I can now go to bed! and am I ever ready for it!   When I get up, I have to puree and pack Mother's soup, and head off to spend the afternoon and supper with her, then drive another hour to attend a get together of business people before getting home...IF the weather is better than it is now- Derek said the roads are horribly slippery!

Enjoy a peaceful, safe Sunday, everyone!

Good mornin', ya'll.
Sounds like everyone, and their families are busy, busy. I crochet but don't need a 'tangler', but thanks anyway. It seems some of the skeins I buy have big tangles in the middle anyway! Maybe the manufacturers employ kitties just for that!
Typical Sunday here. We'll see at least one grandson for BLTs. The college grandson is on Spring Break, so I have already seen him and a friend for 2 meals since Friday afternoon. I'm sure they will be here for at least one meal a day for the next week. They sleep in and I am a morning person. So by the time they show up at noon or later, I am ready for a break from whatever project I am working on!
It is 100%-ing on us right now. You know, when the weather guy says there is a 100% chance of rain! Everyone says we need it. I don't need it! But daffodils are up all over the place and I can hear the birds chirping as I sit here.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Jo and my OFFer gang!

Just sent Gary out the door to run his first half marathon. Jeff, Tess and I will go down later to see him finish. No need to go early since it will take him about 3 1/2 hrs to run the course. He's so excited, and I'm proud of him. Couch to half marathon in four months. Whew!

Nothing much else going on in my life. Work is still slow, slow, slow!  Oh well, such is life!

So nice to see Karen S, and even Margo checked in. We don't care if you don't have any "g's", Margo, nice to see you.

Now....Annette?  What's up?  Not seeing you much. Everything ok?

Its a dreary rainy Sunday here in Southern NY state. We have flood watches, flood warnings and a winter weather warning for tonight into tomorrow. Got to love NY, its never just rainy or sunny or snowing!!!!!!
Yesterday we had a baby shower for the "youngest" of my twin girls. She is due in April and its a BOY!! Liam Carter Killian. She got tons of gifts and there were lots of laughs and food. Annette and another friend Bonnie came.. we all drooled over the chocolate cake. I wanted to sma****!!! None of us even took a taste..we know what happens when we do..."DUMPING". Fortunately all of us dump so the chocolate cake just sat there.
Not much going on today..laundry, cleaning, cooking for the week and I think wading through major puddles.
Here's hoping everyone has a good day and a wonderful week

Jo - I have 6 black yarn tanglers, one tends to eat the yarn. Gag. You can keep yours but thanks for the offer.

Our server is in the process of upgrading the cable. Until it is completed, I have trouble getting on the computer.

Snow snow and more snow. A perfect day to stay home.

Kisses

My husband and I spent a cold day under our mobile home learning the fine art of house leveling.  We only got a 1/4 of the way done but now we think we know what we are doing so it ought to be finished up today.  We had to stop at 3 so he could watch the last Razorback basketball game of the season which they lost.  Anyway my hip is sore from laying on all that gravel and rock under the mobile home yesterday.  At least today I will be facing the other direction so it will give that side a rest, lol.  My luffa seeds I started are coming on like gangbusters.  I already need to replant them in a little larger pot.  My gourd seeds never sprouted.  I think they are too old.  Will pick up some fresh ones when we go to WalMart.  Nothing else much going on here.  I picked out some new windows at Lowes to replace two on the front that are much larger to let in more sun and scenery on the front of the house.  I will arrange for them to come install them as soom as the mobile home is finished being leveled and then get on with my painting inside.  Going to redo the bedroom next.  Can't wait.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day today.
