Sisters and Brothers, Mom isn't here on this earth anymore for me to call in and report to that I'm home so. . . . I'm home safe and sound from Arizona. Had a wonderful week. Mike was a real trouper and did more walking and gawking than I expected him to be able or willing to do. I'll do a trip post tonight. I'm off to work!

Goodmorning everyone
I am leaving soon to head to the gym so I'll just say a quick hello.
Its rodeo time here in Houston and I just discovered a webcam that broadcasts the horse shows. I love sevral of these events but it is hard to drive into Houston for 8:00am and I like to sleep. Today is the finals of the cutting horse events. Tomorrow the penning and sorting events start and then the speed events of quater horses and paints. I will go to the stadium on Saturday and Sunday for the next 3 weekends and to the main event when I can get tickets. I have tickets to the Alan Jackson performance but it is too expensive to buy tickets online and you can't get them at the site until the rodeo is started. Hope to get a few more performance tickets this weekend.
Guess I had better get on the stick or I'll be late for my class at the gym.
See ya

Hi Trish and my OFF family:
My cleaning fairy is here today and I'm on a furlough day. Still in my jammies. Don't think I'll do anything much else today other than laundry. I have my comforter in the dryer and my sheets in the washer. I was so tired yesterday ... I felt I was sleepwalking last night at work. I got a headache sometime about 12:30 p.m., took an Imitrex and it zapped me for the rest of the day. Slept pretty soundly last night, although I did get up a few times.
I'm actually looking forward to furlough days ... this time last year I was unemployed, so at least now I have a job, even though it's one I'm not that happy with ... if I have to take furlough days every other week, so be it. At least I'm not laid off.
Monica, proud of you, 120 days sober ... wow, four months! That's quite an achievement.
Hope everyone else is fine. Have a good day.

Our cable company is in the process of upgrading. Phones, TV and computers either go with the speed of light or at a snails pace. Very frustrating but that's progress.
My car is in the shop to check for a leak in the front tire. The darned thing won't hold air and I haven't any idea how to change a flat.
Chili is simmering on the stove so I'm going to crochet and watch the outside critters.
Kisses to all

The latest news ......
Got a call this morning from Dr. Kemmeter's nurse saying he had reviewed the tests I had on my gall bladder, and it definitely needs to come out! Why would my PCP tell me it was okay??? I will see Dr. Kemmeter next Wednesday face to face and ask him.
I don't know what to think anymore....

Done! Your Ticker:
Why would your PCP tell you it was OK and Kemmeter tell you otherwise ... he's a better doctor and he knows your WLS history. I think that's the whole difference. There was a woman I knew whose husband had a gallbladder issue ... kept telling the doc it was his gallbladder and after all the tests, the doc said the gallbladder was fine. Finally, he was so bad, he went to the ER one day. They had to do emergency surgery on him ... the gallbladder was so bad, it had started pouring poison (don't know if this is the right term for what's happened) into his body.
Morning Patricia and Off gang
Running late today....playing catch up since I had to go in for blood work this morning. I have my 2year surgiversary check up in 2 weeks and wanted to get the labs out of the way. Usually, I wait til the last minute and then sweat over all of them being completed before I see my surgeon.
Hubby still down with the dratted cold...thankfully he isn't one to turn into a grump when he's sick but he doesn't like being bothered either. Our evenings have been quie****ching TV and messing round on the computer. I finished my last crochet project..now just gotta figure out what I want to do next. I did spend last evening sorting all my yarn...gads, didn't realize I had sooo much!! Darn thrift stores!! LOL I pick up whatever yarn they have...it's ridiculously cheap compared to JoAnn's or The Yarn Shoppe ;-)
I start my OH Support Group Leadership training tomorrow morning...teleconference call-in. Sure glad I have a boss who doesn't mind me having a life...I'm doing the call-in from my desk here at work LOL He has been such a support ever since I had my surgery..what a difference from my old boss who would have given me nothing but grief over the time I've had to be out of the office at appts.
Well, that's it for me...lunch is over..back to closing books for the month. Keep smiling inspite of all the frowns around you...keep them guessing what do you know that they don't!! ^_^
Hugs to all

Hey Trish and my OFF buddies,
Well, here I am pulling up the rear of the pack, but that's okay, better late than never!
Busy day here. Our yard guy came and we spent over an hour planning and plotting what to do with the back yard. We purposely killed all the grass and will go with beds and just about 1/3 of the grass area we had before. He's such a nice guy and does all that he can to save money, which sure is nice. He promises I'll have a brand new yard in time for my birthday the end of the month. Now if I can just get Gary to paint my office and bathroom before then, life will be good!!
Speaking of the DH, he's running his first half marathon on Sunday. I'm so proud of him for sticking with this. Now he's decided that maybe some of the food choices our kids make might not be so crazy after all.....so would I please start getting more veggies and fruit into his diet?? OMG! What a shocker! So, after the yard man left off to Whole Foods I went. The have a wonderful service deli with lots of prepared salads and ready made entrees that they are happy to let you sample. Well, I've never had kale and they had a really yummy looking "Rainbow Salad" all mixed up with kale, red onion, mandarin oranges and sunflower seeds. I took one taste and fell in love! Bought up a pound container of it and served it with some diced chicken breast and a slice of nice fresh pumpernickel bread.
Before dinner we went to the gym for an hour. Damn. I might just kill my self getting healthy! LOL
