Wednesday March 2nd -- What's new
I was playing around on Facebook last night, clicked on a photo of a friend's dog and suddenly, Internet Explorer disappeared and wouldn't come back up. I had to play around for a good half hour to find a browser that worked (and I ran virus and spyware software, too). Now I have IE 9 and Firefox to see which works better. But IE9 tends to cut off your posts at the end of the line. So maybe I'll try Firefox to see how that looks. Our tech guy at work blames all our problems on Firefox. I think he's full of **** and lazy.
Back to work today for me. One day off, one day on, then two days off. Crazy schedule. Yesterday, I went to the financial management schedule ... interesting, but didn't teach me anything I didn't already know, and cost me $40. Yeah, I know I should budget, I know I shouldn't use credit cards ... and I don't anymore. Oh well, it's done.
Not much else going on ... hope Judy's mom is OK. Take care everyone and have a good day.
Hello, everyone!
I'm back home after a busy morning and early afternoon, drinking my protein hot chocolate..boy, it's NASTY cold and windy out there!
I won't bore everyone talking about my work this afternoon, suffice to say it's all about the Wellness Show and I'm sure everyone is sick and tired of hearing about it...lol. However, I did get a call from a local newspaper to sell me a spot in their special Business Women's Pages ...I said thanks but no thanks (due to $$) and she asked about the Wellness Show..don't know how she found out about that..but when I explained, she was so enthused that she said she is going to her boss and maybe they will do a BIG article about the show or even be a SPONSOR for the event! Isn't it funny how these things happen? *s*
Every windowsill outside has a cat curled up in the sunshine here...we refer to them as our FURRY WINDOWSILLS. OKay, maybe you need to be here to really appreciate the joke in that.
Derek is out, driving a ladyfriend to Burlington to deliver her to the Coast Guard ship...she is their chef and works on the Ice Breaker that goes around the Great Lakes...she will be gone a full month as is their regular practice for the winter. She and Derek have been seeing each other for the last couple of months. *Mom crosses her fingers*
Got a call from Mom's seniorCare facility..apparently the poor old soul has no fat left on her butt (I should have such a problem!) and has developed "bed sores" from her wheelchair so she is now being treated for that as well as introducing, finally, a puffer and nebulizer for her breathing issues.
Well, back to work for me! Enjoy your day!
