What's up Tuesday????
Morning Judy, OFFr's,
It's a sunny day and I'm feeling rather sunny myself. . . well the Universal Spirit is once more taking care of me, the last person who was a negative in my work situation is leaving, her last day is March 18, though I finally was able to deal with her in a way that worked for both of us, guess that was the lesson, to accept what I cannot change and work with what I've got. . . anyway, we have gotten along much better of late, but I had my suspicions about her leaving, after being in this industry for 23+ years, you learn to read the signs, she was unhappy here, made everyone kind of aware of that, but of late she kinda kept to herself and a lot of closed door stuff, not billing a lot of time, etc. . . so when she called me in to tell me yesterday, I was not surprised, but rather elated. There are other pokers in the fire for me, but too soon to tell where and if they will come out of the fire on my side of things. As today's reflection stated, Universal Spirit is in charge.
Anyway, today has me trying to figure some things out for the big stuff that will be happening here at work over the next two weeks, big case culminating, lots of people from all over to coordinate food, transportation and a host of other things related to their arrival this coming Saturday. Tonight I will be attending a house AA meeting and that about covers my day/evening.
I am wishing you all the very best of life and the strength and peace to get through the lesser aspects of living.
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful, chilly, sunny morning here. I hope things dry out soon. I started some luffa seeds inside to grow this year. I grew some a few years back and just am down to my last one. I'm getting itchy to start on the garden. We plan to have two this year and I want to put in one raised bed garden too and then keep adding one a year so as we get older, we can sit and garden, lol. Val saw his pcp yesterday and increased his lorcet and put him on muscle relaxers 3xday until his consult on the 10th about his bulging and ruptured disks. He sure has been in a lot of pain with that right leg and hip. He is worried because his doc said light duty, no lifting over 20 lbs. That's about all he does. We'll see what happens. Whatever ends up happening we will get through it. Some daffodils are already blooming here in the yard. I finished my panels for the french doors and I must say they really look nice. I plan to do some more painting on the new trim today after some light housekeeping. My back is almost back to normal. Just a little bit of pain left. At least I can talk my hubby into massaging my butt muscles. For some reason, noone at work wanted to do it for me when this happened, lol. Y'all all have a glorious day.
Morning y'all!
It's a beautiful sunny day here, just a bit cool this morning. I do love spring! Green up is happening all around me. Saw some redbuds and plum trees in bloom yesterday. One of my peach trees is starting to pop out in vibrant pink! I love this time of year when the plants wake up!
I had a great post-op visit with my doctor yesterday. My official weight loss since starting the pre-op diet is 19 pounds! My scale is exactly 4 pounds off from his scale, so I'm not going to worry about that. It's not the actual number that matters. It's the number of pounds lost.
So I got cleared to drive again, to take a tub bath again, etc. All very welcome. And I got to start on my pureed diet yesterday. That will last for the next 2 weeks. I'm so excited to reintroduce some flavor to my meals, if not texture. Last night I pureed some vegetarian refried beans with chicken broth, salsa, and some extra protein powder. It was like eating ambrosia! I love Mexican food!
This morning's pureed adventure was cheesy grits and a poached egg, whirred together in the blender. Yum. Too bad I have to throw so much of it away. Waste always bothers me, but I have to get away from the "clean your plate" mentality.
The only thing I didn't get clearance for yet is to pick up my little grandson. Dr. doesn't want me to lift anything over 15 pounds, and Benny weighs about 18 pounds now. But that's okay. I'll be able to sit on the floor and play with him! We're headed for a week long visit to see him (and my daughter, too, of course) around Thursday or Friday. I can hardly wait! I haven't seen him since January.
As always, I love reading about everyone's day. Such interesting and divergent lives we all lead, and yet we are all connected anyway. I feel I am getting to know each of you better and better as the days go by.
Take care all!

I'm HOOOOOOOMMMMEEEE
Got back home sunday and spent yesterday doing laundry. Still have to fold and put away. Took all day. Now time to catch up on mail and pay bills. We had a great time in the Caribbean and Florida. I'll tell you all about it later, right now I have to head out to the gym. Its been awhile so I am sure to be tired and sore for the next few days. More later
