OT: Can Spring be far away???
I prefer LATER Spring, when I can get out and play in the dirt, not wallow in the mud.
'Least it's warming up. Gotta look at the bright side.
Candy
Candy,
It has been pouring here this morning and I am also concerned about basement flooding. I do go down and look because once we ended up with 3 inches of water in the basement because a little part on the sump pump rusted and stuck. Of course we had some cardboard boxes full of "stuff" on the floor, all ruined. So I panic when snow is up against the house and there is a lot of rain.
So far so good.
Bev
I've been in the basement twice already, mopping. It's semi-finished, basically some interior walls were put up and drywalled, and the floor is painted, although rough. My sump pump is working fine, but there's so much ground water that it's seeping in a little at the bottom of some of the walls. Furnace and ho****er tank are raised up a bit, and everything ele is on shelves, and all I have for water on the floors is a little in some of the lower spots. I just keep going down and cleaning up the puddles.
This is the first year since I've been here that it's happened, but it's been SO wet this year!
It's still raining, so I'll stay alert.
Candy
Heya Candy, Just holler if you need the sistahs to bring buckets. Sounds as if shift work might keep you just slightly damp.
I was outside digging drains into the sand this morning. The ground is so wet , the run off isn't running, just making pools. Most of the ground snow melted off last night/ this morning. The roof is still frozen and white, The snow on the highest peak of the roof is melting and making a large runoff. The sun is hiding today, lots of high thin clouds, that is holding the warmth close to us . Exercise is great huh, even if it is water works, Hugs young-un, Peg
AND ALL OUR HERO'S
I hope you are settling in nicely in your new home. I guess you had to downsize quite a bit. It wears me out just thinking about all you had to do to move. You are such a great Mom and Grandma to make these changes to help them out. I hope things get easier for you. And always I am praying for Nic and a good outcome.
Hugs,
Bev
It has been and still is quite a transition. I had to divide everything into Garage Sale (for Spring).....Jamie's house....Storage. I had to downsize is an understatement!
However I am not regretting it for a minute.....their smiles tell it all!
Thank you for the prayers for Nic.....God has been listening to our prayers!
I continue to keep you in my daily prayers as well.
Love and hugs....connie d
