Did no one start yet? Happy Saturday!
Sunny day, 68 degrees here, but I have to work today. Didn't do a whole lot yesterday ... ran out to bring something into the bankruptcy attorney, exchanged some swiffer dusters that had Febreeze in them (boy, were they smelly! they were making me ill.) for unscented ones and came home, watched a couple of DVDs (Toy Story 3, so cute!), went to bed, read ... I have such an interesting life.
I don't miss the snow, but I remember how to hunker down in it. I just didn't like having to drive to work in it. I had to live through tornado warnings too in most places I've lived. I really worry when I'm at work and we get these storms because of the cats ... especially now, because Juliette is so afraid of storms. I know because she hides in the closet when I'm not home.
Ah well, hope everyone is fine ... I've been wondering about Margo too.
today is a gorgeous sunny day even if temps are barely reaching 45degs by this afternoon. Getting a cold blast out of Alaska. Yesterday the National Weather bureau confirmed that we had a tornado touch down on the east side of town...almost unheard of in these parts. It actually caused some damage...came down in a residential area....others have been out in the countryside.
Today I'm off to Kaiser to see about getting new glasses...frames are on sale at 50% off...hard to pass up a good deal. Then if I can get up enough courage, going to head to Victoria Secret...a friend got fitted for a new bra..said it made all the difference in the world..if you can't afford plastic surgery LOL Then to meet a friend for coffee..she became an OH support leader and I'm just starting the process..need advice! LOL
My heart goes out to all of you having 'issues'...Bev: hang in there..you have such an awesome attitude! Annette...so sorry to hear of hubby's medical issues...makes times stressful I know...Monica...so happy to hear meds worked for hubby and he's out walking'! That's great! And today is number 115, right? Sooo proud of you! Unfortunately, the ole brain can't remember the names of all....believe me, you are all in my prayers!
Hugs

I just mowed the back and front yard. It's 80 degrees here today.
I think I'm entitled to an iced coffee at Starbucks, don't you?]
Janet
Janet, 80 Degrees, are you having a Hot Flash, heat wave sounds more like it. Sorry Hon, we've had snow all day long, that means your warm weather was just a momentary break in winter. The cold stuff is on it's way east, keep your woolies handy.
The honey man is making his Firehouse chili, cold weather brings out the cook in him.It really smells good in here, just can't eat the stuff, to hot for the tender tummy.
Iced or hot , coffee sounds good to me, I traded the coffee for tea, Iced Tea. I've been working the old bones today. Took every thing out of the front bathroom, unscrewed , unglued, scraped paint, the walls are now ready for heavy TSP cleaning, new paint job will happen shortly, as soon as we get some warmer weather. New toilet going in Tuesday, don't ya just love spring , time to renew.
I do understand about your lawn mower, the up and back will get-cha. We sold our mower when we move to the High Desert 20 some years ago, haven't missed that puppy.
Enjoy the rest of you week-end. Peg
AND ALL OUR HERO'S
Had a lot of dreams last night even though I took my sleeping pill. Woke up dreaming my hubby was telling me to get up - but he wasn't.
I cleaned the kitchen and Swiffered the living room and kitchen floors.
One of Bill's co-workers picked me up and took me to lunch at Panera Bread with a few others of his co-workers. It was nice. Just to refresh your memory, Hubby is a Bldg. Official at town hall. Except for the First Selectman and the Comptroller everyone else are women. They are all very close and I have been invited to their kids weddings and parties for charity, Pampered Chef and Longaberger Baskets. So it was really nice that they took me out to lunch. One gave me yellow roses and red tulips and another one gave me a mixed bouquet. I filled three vases and they all look so pretty around the house.
It's a beautiful sunny day but it still is 37* out. Nothing else planned the rest of the day for me. Hubby is going to a retirement party for someone tonite. So I will dine alone. I think I will have some pot roast a friend brought for us. Tomorrow my sister is coming over and bringing chicken pot pie for supper.
Life is good.
Hugs,
Bev
