What's New Thursday from Tucson, Arizona!
Hmmmm. . .. The motel is clean, the room is nice, but the location leaves a bit to be desired. Great flight down. As we left Seattle it had started to snow. The plane had to be deiced. We got out of Seattle just in time ahead of more bad weather.
Didn't try to do anything touristy tonight. Found a grocery store; the only one that I was comfortable stopping at. Seems like we're in a bit of a sketchy part of town. Hope the rental car is still there when the sun comes up.
We do have a little fridge in our room and I put a little collapsible cooler tote in our carryon so we bought yogurt, drinks and snacks to take along with us the next couple of days.
Fell asleep way too early and Mike tends to leave the tv on all night so I slept a few hours now awake I am.
We have 9:45 am reservations at Kartchner Caverms which is about an hour's drive from here. In the afternoon we'll drive down to Tombstone and Bisbee and also through Saguaro National Park.
It's supposed to be sunny and about 65 the next couple of days. That works for me!

Have you talked about changing hotels? Makes me a little nervous for you!
Not much happening here today but the usual day off stuff. Laundry, cleaning, yuck! Well, I am getting my nails done late morning, then home to stand by the weather radio and TV to get ready to duck and cover. High risk of severe thunderstorms today, which means we could see tornadoes in the area. Don't know which is worse.....the wildfires and earthquakes we left in CA or the tornadoes here in AR. Oh well, no where is perfect.
Okay, well the washer is done, time to go scrub the shower. Gosh, what a glamorous life!

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

Well, Karen you have a wonderful time in the good weather! The news looks like you're better off where you are!
I am working on my genealogy stuff this week. It is easier than it was when I began doing this 11 years ago. Now the web site does the searches for me. Like census records. I just have to put in the name, even if I didn't know where they lived. Anyway, I found my gramma's parents and her when she was 5 years old. The census says she was adopted! No one knew this. I called my aunt and she was shocked. Her Mom always said she didn't have an original birth cert because she was born at home with just a midwife. In 1942, she and her Mom went to the county clerk and her Mom swore that she was her Mom and her Dad was her deceased husband. So obviously, my great gramma didn't want Gramma to know. Now there is no information in modern census records because it is an invasion of privacy!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Much more sleep for me last night so feeling much better today! I fell asleep in chair at about 9, went to bed, slapped machine on and slept till dawn! yeah!
work yesterday was good, intense but good.
Unfortunately I came downstairs to dog pukes all over the living room, all carpet and furniture will need to be cleaned this weekend. blahccchhhh!
Sounds like tomorrow could be a wonderful day with 10-12 inches of snow! We still have a good foot or more on the ground and it has been bitter cold the last few days. warming up and snowing now. I haven't minded the winter so far this year, but am getting ready for some warmer temps! Nothing to hot mind, to me anything much over 83 is too hot! I thought with weight loss the horrible heat intolerance would go away. Not so much to my dismay!
Oh well, enough, have a good day everyone!
It's almost Friday, looking forward to the weekend.
We got more snow in Michigan and power is being restored to people.
Choir practice went well last night but only 6 of us showed up. After that we went to see Russ and Holly and she took a bottle from me. Got her asleep and we left to go home to finish watching American Idol.
Work will be busy today, they are finishing up on the mandatory in-services on Fall Prevention and my volunteers have to go to this one. I'm running down now to check on my volunteers who are also volunteering at this event...all day long.
Have my Dexa scan today so I have to leave work early only by an hour if the roads aren't too bad. Take care everyone! Hugs Debbie
Stress still so thick here, no meds yet.
Sober 113 days and so proud of me.
Glad Karen got there OK. Enjoy your stay.
Prayers needed and given to all.
Hugs, Monica
