Thanks for the giggle. . .

Good Morning, Wish I could take a "red eye" flight as I don't sleep well on the best nights and almost not at all the night before I'm leaving on a trip.  I've already been up almost 3 hours. NOW I'm starting to get tired. Maybe I'll sleep from to Tucson

About had myself talked into the hot air balloon trip and then I checked more closely into the cost. ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS  for 1.5 hour ride. . . . Think I'll save it for a trip when I feel richer! I can still get up at sunrise and watch the balloons from our Sky Ranch Lodge vantage points. It's right on the rim of some awesome views. Think I'll do that with a hot cup of something and then crawl back into bed!

We'll arrive in Tucson about 4pm, pick up the rental car, and to our hotel. Nothing planned until tomorrow morning. We have 9:45 am reservations at the Kartchner Caverns which look awesome. Then we'll spend the afternoon driving around the area, probably taking in Tombstone and the Saguaro National Park areas.

I'm so looking forward to feeling the  warmth of the sun. Packed a visor, cunscreen and sunglasses. I'm anticipating long walks, lots of "lookie looing" and also time in a lawn chair with a book!

I'll have my laptop with me and will check in. Couldn't get by a week without connecting with you all.

I'm thinking good thoughts for you Monica. Can you get out and do something nice, all by yourself? A manicure or pedicure? If we were closer I would kidnap you for an afternoon of gabbing.

I was up bright and early to try out my new lightning fast internet.  I am amazed.  I am so used to it being slow.  I slept well last night but my husband is still waking up every night with hip and leg pain.  He is having an MRI done this morning so hopefully we will find out what it is.  Probably a pinched nerve is what I suspect.  All I know is that it is extremely painful for him.  He is not one to complain so when he does you know it's really hurting.  I didn't finish my panels for the french doors yesterday so I am going to hem them and hang them this morning some time if I can tear myself away from the computer, lol.  Prayers for everyone who needs them and hugs to everyone.

Hi Debbie and my OFF family:

I want a new body ... even my head hurts at times (like today). I feel rain coming on. Wish I had another day off ... I hate having my days off split. The headache has abated after having taken my Imitrex but my neck, back and knees hurt.

As for dating, I tried Plenty of Fish (I attract perverts) and can't afford the other sites ... I gave up and decided I'm perfectly happy being single. If I had a guy for a friend, that would be fine. But I'd be happy with some women as friends here, too.

Comcast tech never showed up yesterday, so I called about 2:20 p.m. to ask why ... seems I didn't have an appointment although I sure wrote it down and remembered it being scheduled. I was really ticked off, having sat at home and waited all that time. So now I have an appointment tomorrow from 1 to 3 p.m. They weren't even going to credit me for missing until I e-mailed and complained, and yup, there was an appointment scheduled at the same time with someone else, so I was missed. So I did get a $20 credit on my bill. Then I could get the DVR working at all, so this morning, I unplugged the box and switched the wires again and tried to get it working, and I managed to fix that. But the color is still crappy.

Otherwise, not much going on. Didn't do much yesterday ... after laundry, I ran out to get some stuff and then came home and watched TV, read and went to sleep ... such an exciting life I lead.
Well, have a good day.

Hi Debbie and all my OFF friends,
The sun is shining and it's a gorgeous day.  It even managed to get above freezing.  I'm sitting in front of the window.  Can you get Vitamin D through a window treated to reflect UV rays?
I finished my friends afghan last night and will give it to her tomorrow.  Last night I also continued to crochet the afghan for my planned, but not conceived, grandchild #5.  So I get a call from my son this morning telling me #5 is 8 weeks in the womb.  Yay! I'm going to be a Grandma again in September.  They were waiting for the check-up next week to tell us.  But since DIL was so sick while at her parents house, she had to tell them.  DIL is sick the first three months.  Then everything is OK.  It must not be too bad since this is her 5th baby.   They don't find out the sex of the baby so I'm making a generic color afghan - shades of blue and white.  So far they have two boys and two girls, so it's a crap shoot what baby #5 will be.  We just hope for healthy.
On Mondays trip to the Disney Store, I got some great deals on tees for the grands for our trip to Disney World.  The kids tees were $8 and the adult tees were $12.  The kid's skin is sensitive so I will wash everything in what my DIL uses before we give them to the kids.  And ofcourse I had to get them hats, flip-flops and sunglasses. LOL.  They had cute tote bags too for them to carry all their pool stuff.
I'd like a transplant too, Debbie.  My whole abdominal/pelvic area.  I don't think I ever remember having a flat stomach, even when I was 120 lb. teenager.
Monica, I am thinking of you.
Hugs to all,
Bev
