It's Wednesday 2:30 am EST What's New?

So here I am awake at 2:30 am.  Dunno why, but here it is.
Not much new with me, big day at work today and tomorrow as our instilation consultant for pharmacy will be at hospital for building the required dictionaries etc in the pharmacy application.
I was awake enough before getting out of bed to hear Daphne (sleeping downstairs on the couch) snoring!  That girl has a set of snores in her for sure!
I signed up for Plenty of Fish again but not having a lot of luck.  Then I saw an old friend on facebook who is divorced and I saw her status as engaged.  She met her soon to be husband on Match.com. Hmmm.  I don't seem to have luck like that!  LOL!  I just wouldn't mind a date once in a while! LOL!
Pt for shoulder issue is going ok.  we'll see what comes of that.  been fighting this one for months it seems.  We were talking in our office yesterday morning, Kate wants a new back and ankle, Carol wants a new knee and hip, I want a set of new knees, back, feet and arms.  Heck, I might as well get a below the neck amputation and put my head on a lovely slim body...maybe just a brain transplant....hmmm maybe I will just keep me!
So, what's new with YOU???????

Good Morning Debbie, Those to Come. . .

Thanks for the chuckle this morning re the body amputation, so far I can live with the aches and pains I've got, they are my left hip and my feet, particularly sensitive feet, corns that appear every year once I put on closed shoes and make my life miserable.  The hip, well I have not seen a doctor about it because there is probably little that can be done, think it's just a good case of aging and even if it were more, not ready to do anything with it at this time. . .

I met my Tony on a dating site and all I can say is that I used internet dating on again off again for quite some time with varying results.  Of course then too, there is the age we're at and I had a hard time with the aged male, don't I have nerve (lol).  Didn't want a guy who looked like someone's grandpa, even if he was and simply what I meant was that age can be worn well or not and I wanted someone who wore their's well.  Tony is a fun man who treats me well in every way and shows up when I need him.  Hope you find what you are looking for and it takes work and time, but doesn't anything we really want.

Well I'd better get ready for work, just wanted to say hi, my day consists of working and then home to relax this evening.

Laureen, I met my DH on line. Its been over a decade now together. I love him so much! I really lucked out.  He helped upload this picture, don't know if I can get it to show, but it is in my public folder.

Hah! At the risk of overkill...here it is again and thank you Bev

Good mornin' ya'll.
I guess losing your head (or keeping just your head) gives new meaning to the whole boddy make-over phrase. I have a repaired rt rotator cuff, an entire new left shoulder and an entire new left hip. I'm getting too old for elective surgery. This PT is the worst! Although I hear the knee recovery and PT is even worse.
I admire anyone willing to look for a new male friend at our age (we all know we are over 50). I've been married 45 years. I have to admit he can be a real pain in the a** occassionally but he is better than training a new one! Part of his bad habits are MY fault! When we were first married I was sure it was my job to do EVERYTHING for him. After all, he worked hard and I didn't. So by the time all the kids were gone he didn't think he needed to do anything around here! I am slowly bringing him around!
I woke up with a very bad stiff neck. Not sure what I did, but I hope I don't do it again! I have the heating pad on it right now. Trying to convince myself that this neck pain should be a good reason to skip my PT this morning. That won't fly though, my neck has nothing to do with my hip PT!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Debbie, so funny --- guess we all wish we could have a total body make over!!!  I've had both knees and my R hip replaced, my R foot operated on, carpal tunnel on the R hand, etc....maybe just a "R" side replacement would work.

I'm turning 72 in a few days and even tho' I sometimes think I'd like a man in my life, I then realize I like being independent much more.

I slept so good last night -- it's amazing what a good night's rest does for one's attitude.  Maybe the celexa is finally kicking in!

Have a wonderful Wednesday all,
Pat r.

Happy Birthday Pat R...in a few days! Stay warm my friend, isn't Michigan wonderful?
I look at all the ice on the trees and last night leaving working riding down Gull Road the sun was shining on all the icy trees...looked like angels were in our mist!! I thank God for the beauty all around me but I'm sure all these people without power are tired of it. Hugs Debbie

Good morning Debbie and OFF family, Happy Hump day!

Man, it's cold here in Michigan and the drive into work was just fine, my back, neck and shoulders are relaxed this morning.

Tomorrow I go for my Dexa Scan so no vitamins for me today...I'm so anal about taking my vitamins...and when I have to stop taking them for tests drives me crazy! LOL

Nothing exciting going on with me, I'll read through the posts...Debbie forget the below the neck amputation! Thanks for the giggles there! Hugs the other Debbie

Good morning Debbie & all,

I would be happy to have some grease fittings installed for all those creaking joints.

I had a hissy fit about wanting a 'date' once in a while just yesterday. We have been too tired, too lazy, too involved in health issues, therefore sit and do nothing together lately. Tom took the hint which was impossible to ignore. We went out for lunch then did some pleasant shopping together.

This afternoon I am meeting with the bariatric coordinator to discuss how to get the lap-banders to be more involved with the support group. Within the past few months we have had at least 6 revisions from lap-band to RNY so people are getting discouraged. The people who attend group on a regular basis seem to do soooo much better and stick with the dietary guidelines. Yet that is true for both surgeries. I hope we can find a solution.

Time to shower and try to look presentable.

Kisses

Guess it's too early for me to be reading.  Instead of "lap-banders" I thought you wrote "lap-dancers" and almost choked on my coffee.

Good day for a giggle so early.

I'm headed to the casino (not sure which one, we have 3 nearby) this afternoon with a friend.  I go very seldom, but it sounds like a good plan for today.  I haven't spent a cent on entertainment in 6 weeks, so I think I may splurge and bring $50 instead of $40 to lose!  I'll let you know how long it takes me to lose it ....er....I mean, I'll let you all know what happens....

sexy Sure Candy, can you picture ME running a group for lap-dancers, pole dancers and strippers? Maybe in the next life time.

Have fun at the casino.
