I am going to have RNY April 1. Did anyone add extra moisturizers to their routine for the changes of the skin all over the body?

Lets hear from the ladies who were excited to shave your legs without missing strips?

In previous weight loss journeys, my husbans, an MD, strongly recommended to me that I slather up regularly to help with skin sagging.

Hi there,

Here's what I tell my support group:

How much sagging skin depends on many factors:  How overweight you are, how long you've been overweight, your ethnicity, and most importantly, your AGE.  No pills, potions, powders, creams, lotions, or magic is going to change those factors.

Now, keeping your sking moisturized feels good, but it's not going to help sagging. Sorry. I know from where I speak, I just had a full tummy tuck and an arm lift 6 weeks ago.

Susan

I think I have found a new friend. You are a storehouse of information. I WILL be in touch with you again!

At my point in life, nothing is going to help with skin sagging. It's headed south anyway, and weight loss increases that.
Not trying to be a party pooper, but this is a reality check, moisturizers will not help, plastic surgery will.
If you just happen to have very elastic skin, you may be lucky and not have as much sag as the majority of us.
I'm 5 1/2 years out, and had to have surgery for hanging skin after weight loss.
