Thursday, what's new?

Good Morning Everyone, Just a quick fly by before I head out the door. Yesterday was a day filled with gratitude for WLS and for the many friends I have made on this journey. You ARE my support group so please don't go anywhere. It was fun to have a few friends pop in and say hi on my  re-birthday yesterday. You are missed!

One week from today Mike and I will wake up in our hotel in Tucson, get up and start exploring the area. I plan to make reservations later today for the Kartchner Caverns recommended by several people. Hopefully Mike will be able to handle the one hour tour. Minus almost 80 lbs should help. I think I will put my collapsible cane in our carryon. I'm sure one or the other of us will put it to use. Up and down inside of caverns on uneven ground. . . Sounds like a recipe for disaster for the two of us. He's had a spinal fusion and has severe neuropathy in his feet. I've had both knees replaced and certainly don't go up and down uneven surfaces like a gazelle anymore! (Like I ever really did!)

Lots of other things in that same area: Old Tombstone and the High Desert Museum.

can you  tell me what neuropathy is.  My hubby is having a problem.   Doris QC.

Rather than try to explain this, I'm attaching this link. I too have this; it happened when my discs in the back compressed on the nervesrunning down into my feet. It damaged my nerves. Also, B12 deficiency postop probably helped this along.

Trying to type the help 2 little charges sitting on my lap!    What fun!!    I too am struggling with some regain.  Emotional eating from losing mom.   And Ive gotten addicted the sugar/ caffeine kick from pop again!  I do mix my pop half sugar half diet pop but still am drinking way to much of it  and I cant kick it yet.   I will though!   I have cut out the bad carbs cept that and am losing a tiny bit. I get rid of that blasted sugared pop and I know it would be more successful!!  
Hubby took a tumble at 330 this am  on the way to work and hurt his shoulder  so now I have to go to the Dr with him!   Men can be babies at times!!  I still love him though!!

Morning OFF family!!!

Its nice here again today being 53* at 9:33 am!!! Supposed to have some rain showers today. There goes my clean car...grrrr Snow is melting fast and boy the dog poop is sure showing from the lazy people that didn't clean up after them!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! They should be ashamed of themselves!!!!

Got our taxes done and happy to report we ARE getting refunds!!!!!! :-) wooohooo!!!!!! Now to plan a nice vacation!!! HAHAHA Just might make it to Niagara Falls yet!!! Just not sure what I will do with Bandit. I refuse to leave him at a kennel and I will NOT have Rick's mom watch him at all!!!!!!!

Back and hip are doing alot better today! The weather cut is just about gone now so looks like I can start working on the afghan again. Wish I had someone close by to "show" or should I say "teach" me how to do ones like Bev's! Hers are so pretty!!!

Well nothing else going on here in my neck of the woods so I will get going.

Good morning

We went to play with the M&M's yesterday. The kids and Papa Tom were playing catch with an assortment of balls and toys. One toy was a squishy octopus - those gel filled thingys. Matthew heaved it at Tom and SPLAT. The darned thing exploded all over him.

Melanie began to howl with laughter and said " the octopus pooped on Papa Tom". What a gooey mess. Tom wasn't too happy but the kids and I loved it.

Time for my therapy session. I need to address the increase in panic attacks lately.

OMG I am sorry but I am sitting here LMAO about that thing exploding all over poor Tom!!!!!! I can just picture it all over him too!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOOO Hope it cleaned up nice....LOL

It was a slimy mess with tiny white balls in it. No stain, just a wet spot and way too funny. Glad it was him and not me.
