Oh Judy, I hate to dispel the myth about robins and spring, but actually NO, robins do not mean warmer weather.  Robins fly AHEAD of the cold.  At least they do here in Texas.  Whenever I see robins in my pastures, I just groan because I know that means another cold front is on it's way!

Sorry you fell and are feeling sore today.  Hope it gets better soon!

Judy,

Sooner or later spring will arrive, I truly believe it will be by mid- to late March. . .  and I don't mean the calendar date (lol), but the actual warming up, though where you live, anything is possible. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Good morning OFF!  Today is countdown day!  Finally less than a week to go before surgery.  I'm ready right now.

Got to clean house today.  DH is coming home TOMORROW!  I'll drive to Houston to pick him up.

Got a question:  do you all think I'll be physically ready to make a trip to our lakehouse 10 days post-op?  I know I'll probably still be sore, but I figure I can recooperate there as easily as here.  Only problem is it's a 5+ hour drive from here to there.  Do you think I can make a drive like that so soon after surgery?

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Hey Vickie...Are yu having your surgery done lap or open? If lap I would say you will be ok to travel. Just make sure to take some breaks along the way to stretch the legs!! Also ask your dr to be sure...but I think it will be fine.

Oh, yeah!  Important detail!  It will be laparoscopic.  Good point about stopping to walk.  We'll have the puppies with us, so that will be a good reminder for me to walk during their potty breaks!

My husband wants us to go put the boat in the water.  I'm looking forward to getting out on the lake.  I figure I can ride around on our pontoon boat, sort of like Cleopatra on her barge.  And for once I won't have to pack the gear, lug the gear, unpack the gear, . . .   I could get used to this!

And I'll get to see my grandson, too!  He'll be 8 months old next week.  I know I won't be able to pick him up, but I can sit and play with him!

Have a good day, Judy!
