Hi All,
I promised to share pictures with you of all the afgans I've made since January 1st to yesterday.  I hope the pictures show.

All the afghans with the corner pinned up.

Wow! What lovely warm afghans, Bev! I am sure that the recipients will be VERY grateful to get them!  I can see by the stitching that making those afghans is ALOT of work!

Gee, even your scalloped edgings are all equal and even...lol..I'm jealous, mine rarely are.

Thanks Nancy,  Except for the patriotic one that is hubby's, all the others are for my grandchildren.  I started another one yesterday for my girlfriend.  She has been so kind to me.  It's one of the things I can do with all this time at home.
The evenly spaced picot edge is only because I can at least count up to four. LOL. Two slip stitches in next two single crochet, chain four, join back into bottom slip stitch * repeat. LOL.
Hugs,
Bev

*copies that pattern* Thank you, Bev...heaven knows what Im doing wrong!  I don't have much time to crochet excewpt when I sit down in the late evening  and watch a bit of TV to veg out..and since I cannot stand to just SIT there, I keep my hands busy with crochet work. Not only does it keep my hands flexible, i make afghans, baby blankets and lap blankets for the patients in oncology and dialysis to keep them warm. i REMEMBER HOW GRATEFUL i WAS TO HAVE A NICE WARM AFGHAN DURING TREATMENTS SO NOW i CAN "GIVE BACK".  i ALSO GIVE SOEM TO THE NURSING HOME WHERE mOM IS FOR THE RESIDENTS WHO DONT HAVE FAMILY AND GET FORGOTTEN.  aDD TO THAT, IT PROVIDES GREAT ENTERTAINMENT TO lULYrOSE WHO FINDS GREAT PLEASURE IN STEALING MY WOOL BALLS OUT OF MY BAG AND HIDING THEM ALL OVER THE HOUSE!  OOPS..DARNED CAPLOCK, iM SORRY! sheesh, I'm NO typist!

Nancy,
My girlfriend made me a "prayer" shawl to take to chemo treatments.  It's really nice knowing that as she crocheted it, she said prayers for me.  After a few hours of IV the arm really gets cold.  I plan to make some for my cancer center too.  I think I will gear them for the men.  There are a lot of very feminine afghans on the backs of all the chairs at the cancer center.  I'm also going to sew some arm covers for the chairs at the cancer center.  Would you believe whoever designed the cancer center chose treatment chairs with wood arms???  I have some soft fleece, batting and 1" foam left over from other projects.
I really miss my cats.  I gave them up because my grandkids and daughter-in-law were allergic.  But they were great company and very amusing.  Enjoy your LilyRose and her antics.
Hugs,
Bev

How comforting to know that your prayer shawl was custom-made for you and covers you with prayers! : }

Obviously, the person would bought the chairs as furnishings for that department has never had to sit in one of them for hours! It's like the boy's soccer uniforms..obviously it was  a MAN who chose the colours ..no self-respecting MOTHER would give kids WHITE knee socks to wear while playing soccer!

You can live vicariously thru me, Bev..I have just one inside cat now, my silly LilyRose, but I stll have 23 felines of assorted sizes, colours and fur types outside! They are rescues, abandned and abused...I can't say no.

Bev, they are absolutely beautiful.  Each afgan is made with  love...you can see it in the photos.  I know they'll all be proud of their afgan and cherish them as they should.
