Good morning friends,

Slept late this morning as it's my day off and Gary didn't have to go to work because of the snow we got yesterday. Eight inches is a huge amount for AR and everything is closed down. We're due for highs in the 60's by the end of the weekend, thank goodness!

Still have the dang drain in my elbow. The doctor expected it to take a couple of days, but here I am at day 4. I don't see it coming out before the weekend, hopefully Monday. I'm also still carrying around three pounds that I didnt have before. I'm scared that it's not fluid weight but REAL weight. Darn, it's been four weeks and he took off 5 lbs of skin....I want my 5 LB loss!!!!!

Okay, enough from me. Hope you all have a grand day

Susan

Susan, the weight will come off, it is water weight so don't you dare be scared! And it takes time for your body to adjust so stay off that scale will ya????
Once that drain is out you will feel even more better but even when the drain comes out, stay off the scale, for now it's not your friend and if your hubby has to hide it...do it.
You don't need a scale to dictate your moods and your know you didn't eat anything that would make you gain 5 pounds.

We are so much more than a number on a scale! Hugs to you Captain! Debbie

Yes the scale can drive you crazy. I can get obsessed with it. I remember getting on it  2 to 3 times a day.  nearly drove me nuts.  Out of site out of mind.       Doris  QC.

Hi Debbie and my OFF family:

We had snow yesterday ... a few big wet flakes and then it all melted. So much for this big storm that "everyone will get, no area will be missed" ... so said the meteorologists in Wednesday's paper. We had rain and some sleet, and then this snow but it never stuck. They sent the kids home early from school, planned to cancel school today, too. What a joke! I realize they don't have the equipment to handle ice and snow, but wait until there's actually some on the streets.

Well, I don't have any water today ... I called the office but just got the answering machine. I'll try again in a few minutes. This is the fourth time since I've been here that the water has been turned off during the day. Now, I know most people aren't home during the day so it doesn't matter to them, but I can't take a shower if there's no water, and I have to work. So it's getting irritating. I saw the plumber's truck in the back yesterday ... and there was a lot of pounding. I just hope the water is back on before I have to get ready for work.

My mom had her colonoscopy yesterday and the doc removed five polyps, but he doesn't think any of them seem serious. She also has diverticulosis. My brother Gary said the prep for the procedure was tough on her ... he said he needs to get something to clean the carpet out ... nuff said there.

Well, back to work tonight, then a day off tomorrow. I need to dress more warmly at work ... it was cold last night. Have a good day.
