Hi y'all, it's Monday, what's new?
Our Super Bowl party at work was nice ... my chili was such a hit they started eating it before it was warm. Oh my, there was so much food. Something didn't sit well in my pouch. I've had tummy upsets all night. So I'm just sipping on some peppermint tea. I know it wasn't my chili because I've been eating it for the past two days. Must've been something else. Maybe the deviled eggs? Naw, they never bother me.
So, are you Packer fans happy? I must say I'm happy to see the underdog win ... I like Aaron Rodgers. Wi**** could've been the Bears, though.
Not much else happening. I have today off ... I get my crown today and maybe my new glasses. After that, I'm just hanging around at home.
Well, have a good day. Chat away.
What's normal? Well, life as I once knew it in the Dallas/Ft Worth area before a week of snow and ice and Super Bowl whatever the number was....:) Geez, it will be nice to get to hear the news without the Super Bowl stuff.. oh, wait.. gotta listen to it for ONE more week... then as everything else... soon forgotten and we can move on.
I really didn'****ch the game or the ads. I went to be at 7:30 and crashed.. but as you can see, 12:30 A.M. and I'm up... stuffy head and tummy rumbling. Just had a cup of hot tea and guess I'll mosey (that's a Texas term) on back to bed.
It's been a really pretty two days here... the sun actually came out.. but alas, it's gotten a bit colder now and raining. No wonder my nose is drippy.
Nothing to report here that anyone would be interested in, so will just tell you all that you are an integral part of my life. You 'get it'.
Hugs if you need'em.
Janet
What can I say, it's Monday morning again already! I watched part of the game, but not much. Eileen, I agree with your assessment of the National anthem. YUCK.
Quiet weekend again. I went to the poler party but decided it wasn't for me. I don't like sitting and playing cards that long and quickly left my chair to someone else and petted the dogs. Left before 4pm and stopped to shop a bit then home and reading. I know such a boring life I have! This morning going to hit the bath tub and get ready for work, have a doctors appt at 8 am then back to work! Sounds like we are going to get more snow today, muchly needed of course. we only have 2-3 feet on the ground right now. Ah well, it's pretty and the roads here are great so no biggie.
Have a great day everyone!
I had no real interest in the Superbowl, finally turned it on near the end of the 3rd quarter, it was an exciting game from that point forward and I am happy that the Packers won it, as they overcame lots of obstacles to get there, but like you, wish a different team had been there and won it. . .
Well I am finally going back to work after having been laid low with the flu, took it easy for the past 5 days and now it's back to reality and all that it entails. I did clean, do laundry, cook and take in a movie yesterday, as well as took Roxie for two walks, as we were having balmly weather, it was up in the 40s yesterday.
Ok, that's my life in a nutshell, gotta get moving here.
Hope you all have a good day, with wishes of peace and strength for those dealing with tough life challenges.

OK I have to admit, I fell asleep on the couch during the game! My DH woke me up to go to bed. I really do like to watch football, but me eyes just wouldn't stay open!
Today I go get my staples out! Hurray! The pain is nearly gone, so I am pretty sure I had an infection and the antibiotic did the trick. I can't wait to get back to PT. I have been doing the exercises here at home anyway. Just twice a day. But I need more added by my PT lady. Plus I want to quit having the in home PT and go back to the place that did the PT for my shoulders.
Rain, rain go away, come again another day! I don't like it when the weather guy says we need the rain. Well, MY yard does NOT need the rain. Many of the cotton farmers, don't need it either. Maybe in some other part of the state they need/want it.
I hope you all stay warm, dry and happy.
Have a fantabulous day!
Hope your pouch will feel better Eileen, you know when your pouch is "off".
Yep, stayed up and watched the super bowl. I agree Christina butchered the Star Spangled Banner, sure she rehearsed but she wanted to make it her own and she got lost in all her runs she was doing, forgot were she was at and lost her place. Whenever I sing our National Anthem in public I sing it straight so people can sign along. I loved the gal from Glee who sang Oh Beautiful. Now the Black Eyed Peas I didn't get. Of course I don't care for Hip hop/pop/rock combo...they sang their heart out and I loved watching all the dancing but in the end I'm a Country girl...I just love country music and you can understand it. LOL
So today after work I plan on going to spin class. If you don't get there early and get a card to get in the class...you don't get a bike. So I'll get there early and work out on some of the machines upstairs and walk/jog the track. Take care everyone! Hugs Debbie
My son, the music major, said that Aguilera would stretch out the Anthem to 2 minutes. Sure enough, she almost made it.,..1 min, 50 seconds. I was too busy in the kitchen to watch it or care about her singing it. I hate it when they mess with our Anthem, it's so disrespectful.
We celebrated Jeff's birthday yesterday as well. Crazy guy asked for a food processor, spice grinder and a pedometer. Wow....how time changes things! I'm sending the unopened Harry and David stuff with Gary to give to someone in his program, and the sweet stuff that's open? Trash can, here it comes!!!!
I go to the doctor today to have the drain placed in my elbow. Oh joy. Part of the incision has spread open and yesterday I actually found a piece of stitch sticking out. Doc and I are gonna talk. Oh yeah.
Moving all my Wednesday clients to Tuesday as there is yet another snow storm system coming our way mid week. Not being able to get to work is killing me. I've saved for a rainy day, but it might not stretch far enough for the snowy days...lol
Alright. Off and runnin'. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Be safe and warm out there!
Susan
Good Morning Eileen and friends,
I spoke too soon about nicer weather. Gale force winds last night. I was up and pacing from about 3am. Finally just got up and stayed up at 4:30am. Two loads of laundry, stripped one bed, emptied the dishwasher, took out the trash. Now to stay awake at work.
Actually no problem there. . . Try to sleep in a room full of middle schooler with ADD, HADD, and autism (NOT the non verbal kind, but the kind that has no filter and says whatever and whenever he happens to get the urge!) Nope, won't have trouble staying awake until 2pm at least.
Then it's to the gym and the post office. Sending some homemade jams and jellies ahead to my cousins in Arizona. Mike and I are not checking any luggarge. Traveling lighter each trip. The hotel we stay in the first 3 days in Tucson has a guest laundry so we'll take about 3 days worth of clothes and wash before we leave there for the rest of the trip.
I've been checking out hot air balloon rides over Sedona. Oh how I would love to do that, but I want to share it with someone. Mike is less than enthusiastic about the idea. Me I see it as a controlled risk and the company is very reputable. He on the other hand, has lived much of his life doing risky things without much for thought. . . I won't go into detail. Let's just say things like driving after having more than enough to drink. . . And yet he's reluctant to do this. . I'm working on him.
Well, the dryer is calling me and I want to put the bed back together before I head to work. Don't want to walk into the bedroom ready for bed and have a "surprise" waiting for me in the guise of an unmade bed!
Mike's on the Oregon coast with several friends til Friday. I went to see Black Swan yesterday and will go to dinner with friends tomorrow night. Still thinking about Black Swan. Makes one think about perfectionism for sure!
Better get in gear. You all have a good one!

The cats are very clingy and quiet. They are grieving too.
A friend dropped off a container of soup. It was the first food I could actually taste in over a week. Mmmm good.
Tom's has caught this crud. What a nice wife to share this with him. Rats.
I plan to get in the shower, out of jammies and go to work today. There is not enough makeup in the world to hide the dark circles under my eyes. Good grief, I even scare myself.
Kisses
Annette
