Hey it's Saturday! what's new with you?
Hi Margaret and my OFF family:
Most of the world around here was closed yesterday because of the ice storm. I went out for awhile because I had my pain doc appointment and it wasn't so bad. It was a little worse, I guess, in the evening, but I was home by then. I guess there were some power outages, but I was fine. I made a crockpot of chili ... not a bad batch, if I do say so ... I was out of black beans, which I like to add, so I'll stop on the way to work and pick up a couple cans (they're on sale) and throw them in tonight. I'm cooking it a little more now and then I'll bring it in tomorrow to work.
I don't need thick glasses, Margaret, but I do use bifocals and I don't like the lined ones, so I pay extra for mine. But the vision plan I have actually was not bad, compared to the rest of our insurance. My glasses cost me $189 ... I put it on my FSA. I put the max on my FSA and this year it's on a credit card, so I can spend it easily on what I need ... dental, vision, drug copays, doctor copays. But I'll go through it quickly.
I finally got my Christmas stuff down and put away, and pulled the Easter stuff out so I can put that up in another couple of weeks. Doing that, and making the chili, cost me a lot in pain. My knees and back really hurt. It ****** me off that my health insurance doesn't pay enough to take care of my pain issues. All I can afford to do is take drugs for it. I might as well file for disability and I'd have better health care that way because I'd get medicare.
Anyway, I have to work tonight again and tomorrow, too. Have a good day.

Hello OFF folks! I'm at McDonalds again. The snow and ice has been a real pain in the rear this week and they say there is more on the way. So sorry to hear about your pet passing. They are like our children. Everything is fine in my world except for being isolated without internet or a phone. Hope to remedy both when we are caught up in a few weeks. Weight is finally holding steady around 122. I was losing again and didn't want to get below 120 where I was at. Just trying to eat a little more. I miss you all and can't wait until I can get back on line. Have a good week.
