Congrats on your taking back your life. Remember we did not become morbidly obese overnight and the pounds will not go away overnight. Patience please as hard as it is. Get yourself a tape measurer and use it weekly. Often the scale does not move but the tape will show you the inches lost. I think you are not eating enough.....you have to feed the furance to burn the fat. Do you use FitDay.com to track your intake? This sure helped me on my journey. I am almost 7 yrs out and doing well, losing 200 lbs, than PS.....got TOO thin and now am at 155. Used to be 330.
My doctors really stressed making sure I was eating enough so I could lose the weight. Also drinking tha****er so important. Good luck and continued success on your journey. Monica

Your only a month out its amazing that you could get 800 calories in.  If you are very active the weight will come off faster, watch the carbs.  They will trip you up, stick to veggies carbs instead of fruit carbs.  No potato, rice, bread or pasta.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

Hey there Lileee ;-)
I'm 54 and I think tht being older there is a slower metabolism.  My Dr. said that too.  It's an bummer.  I've figured my average and it's 2# a week.  I'm so close to onderland I can taste it ;-)  I was in a stall for over three weeks and it finally broke.  Just kept doing everything I'm supposse to..like you.  I have noticed my clothes getting smaller too.  I'm not good about actually measuring myself.  Keep up your good work!  It will come!

yes over 50 loses slower than a 20 year old also if weight is under 300 you are considered a light weight which make you lose slower.  sort of a double whammy...but you will lose if you keep following the rules and get in all the water you need and somesort of exercise can be walking for 30 mins a day ....be sure and measure...sometimes that is a good measurement more than the scales.

You didn't say how much you lost but you are only a month out.  You probably gained right after surgery.  Surgery causes water and gas weight that takes times to loose but loose it you will.  Also don't start this early comparing yourself to others.  Everyone looses at their own pace.  I once got in that trap of comparing.  I lost slower and that is a mind game that can sabatoge you big time.  You have taken a big step to improve your health.  Let the tool do its work and you will loose. it doesn't matter what anyone else does.  this is about you.  You will get there and be a healthier you.  As my mother always told me......don't borrow trouble.

Good luck on this journey.  You will be amazed at the outcome.
