Hello Wednesday...still no blizzard...

Pictures of Chicago make me very happy to be in Western NY right now.....

Where the heck was the big storm?  It never fails that when a huge blizzard is forecast here, it does not happen!  We have maybe one large storm every winter, and we haven't had it yet.  It usually takes place when a "few flurries" are forecast and no one is ready.  Oh well, a snow-day was called at work, so I stayed home with the dogs and watched TV.  There is really nothing on TV during the day - or at night for that matter.
It's back to school tomorrow.  I took no books home  with me Tuesday thinking that there would not be a snow-day called today, so I am hardly prepared for my 8:00 am class tomorrow.  I'll be at the school at 7:30 running off exercises in comma placement (oh joy!!) for my students.  However, it has been nice having a day of total leisure!

Well, we got the storm.  About 1 pm it hit with a vengeance.  Snowing, blowing, and at 32 degrees F, freezing all over the place.

Glad I'm home.

Chicago got hit with 20 inches of snow. Just ask my daughter!!!!! she is snowed in and cant get to work. School is called off for 2 days already. Snow drifts to the roof tops, lake Shore drive is a disaster and I was supposed to fly there and gave up my ticket.....Carla
