Hello Wednesday...still no blizzard...

I saw the pictures of Dallas on the news.  I can only imagine how the traffic is, there and in the rest of the South affected by the storm.  We've had many years of nasty winters to learn to drive in this crap, and snow removal and road equipment to keep us mobile.  My son who lives in Tennessee says it's crazy down there with a few inches of snow on the ground.  Can't imagine you guys getting dumped on like we do around here.

Stay safe and warm.  And home, if you can manage it.

Red, I was worried you wouldn't get your 4 bucks ... my local one said some Dallas Starbucks were closed due to the storm. I worried about you ... what would you do without your fix?

Ahhhhh a shower. Funny how the little things in life make us so happy.  Glad you're getting better, but so sorry for the bump in the pain level. You probably did too much, but you know that.

Better living through chemistry, my dear!

Went to the doc yesterday to have him take a look at my puffy elbow. Apparently the fluids that usually would accumulate in all of the tissues are choosing one nice little spot to gather in. He took a big ol' needle and drained a whole syringe of fluid out, wrapped it up and said if it wasn't better by tomorrow he'd put a regular drain in it. Not a JP drain like the ones with the bulb at the end, but more like a small tube that will drain into a bandage. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? Guess I am a special girl.

Off to work today, another light one, thank goodness. I need to stop at the beauty supply on the way in, so I'll be saying so long for now.

Hope you all have a wonderful day, and PLEASE stay warm and safe!!!

LOVE the better living through chemistry.  I just got out of bed.  Feeling much better, thanks.

If they have to put a drain in the elbow, it's not near as bad as the ones with the bulb.  More like a bulky dressing.  Still a pain, I know, but you want everything to heal nice and pretty, and that should help, if they decide to do it.  I'm glad you made it through the first day of work OK.  I was thinking about you.

Yup, you certainly are a special girl.  And it has nothing to do with elbow drains.....

Keep your digits warm Candy. Glad to hear the stitches came out. Rest well today.

Our pipes are frozen this morning. I think I'll wait til the honey man wakes up , he does such a wonderful job with the hair drier defrosting the cold pipes. We are waiting for our high winds to hit. Intel says we can get up to 75 hour winds today. Not much blowing at our Lil' mountain foothill home yet.

Hold on to your red hat!  75 hour winds are nasty.  Do you have a lot of snow, too?

Would you believe we didn't get any wind or snow as of 4:00 in the afternoon. The honey man and I went out shopping , came back home with supplies for the storm......no storm. Down the hill from us 60 miles an hour wind, must have been the chickens we flipped around for Candie, the storm has pasted us by.We are snuggled up safe and warm. Our Son lives in Kansas, He has snow banks building on the north of his home. They are hunkered down and waiting the storm out.

Sending warm hugs to you'll across this Great land. Peg,( sitting next to the wood burning stove,) Red.

Expecting a high of 35 but the SUN is going to shine brightly the rest of the week! Off to work yet again. Hi  ho, hi ho. . . . it money saved towards my thigh lift the end of May so I won't gripe. I am however, happy that this is just a temporary position!

Janet, gorgeous new photo!

To all of my healing friends this winter weather should be enough to keep you in and cozy and on the mend!

Warm and cozy is the plan.

And so many of us seem to have healing to do.  I think once we reach middle age, the years should stop reversing.  I look fondly back at 40.  Seems like a lot started breaking down after 50....

Well, gonna grab my cane and start my day, I guess....

Candie Cane, sorry , It just slipped out.

Today while we were out shopping , the dear man of mine said, baby , you are having a lot of pain in your hip, lets get you a foldable cane while we are are Walmart. I'am now the proud owner of not one but two canes. One fold up, I was told I can keep that one in the truck, it will be there when you need it, he said. The second is an offset cane, I get to use it around the house.

Hummmmm. I used canes and wheelchairs for 5 Years, thought I was over that stuff. O'well , As Candie said, the 40's did rock.

I'm still in in much better health then I was back in 2000. That was the year everything went ( south). 2006 Gave me back my life. I had WLS in Feb.2006,  OMG, The Sixth year has begun. I've been blessed.
