TGIF!! What's Happening With You?
Hi Nancy and my OFF family:
Wow, your two events sound fabulous. You are so busy ... you make me tired! I wish I had your energy.
I finally did get some good sleep last night. Purchased this product I read about online through the Grand Rapids Website called Take10 to Sleep ... it's a teeny little bottle, with a lot of herbal stuff and tastes like blackberry ... rather good. Boy, it did the trick. Not cheap, though, but if all I have to take is one bottle a night, I'm in ... unless I find something else. Here's the link. http://www.take10beverages.com/products/take-10-to-sleeptm. I have watched Dr. Oz a couple of times, and he says valerian tea is a good sleep aid too. This has valerian in it. Anyway, it really worked.
We had a gully-washer of a storm last night. Zapped the power in the office for a good 15-20 minutes. Then, when the generator kicked in, we still couldn't connect to our servers, so we couldn't work for a good two hours. And since the paper I work on is the first deadline (8:40 p.m.), we were seriously late. We went into the newsroom to try and use their computers; couldn't get on. Then I tried to use one of the computers already signed on; couldn't find my pages. It was crazy. Finally, when we got back on, it was one computer at a time ... Bonnie wound up finishing my sports section (she really can crank pages but she doesn't read anything) ... I proofed and waited to get to the Lafayette pages (nearly 10 before I got to them). Everyone was late. Some of my power went out here, too, because my coffee pot was blinking.
Comcast tech was by yesterday ... she was so nice; she put a HDMI cable on my box and it works so much better now. The guy who originally installed it was such an ass. This woman was such a sweetie, she was playing with Juliette and spent time showing me how things work on my remote (which no one ever had before). Nice to see someone do their job right.
Another person is leaving from work ... one of the nicest women at the place, Rebeckah. Seems we can't keep anyone there.
Oh well ... I'm off today. Too tired to do anything today. Made myself a big pot of coffee and I'm just vegging right now.
Well, have a good day. It's a little chillier today (55) and gloomy.

Oh, it was good to read everyone's posts and feel reconnected with my OFF family again!
I have to tell you all that I also have two dogs, but mine are RATTIES not ROTTIES. Ratties are rat terriers. They are positively tiny compared to rottweilers. Patty Kate weighs 14 pounds and Lulu weighs 12 pounds. But large or small, our puppies are our babies, right? I surely love mine!
Really tired now. Day Four after surgery. Going to bed. Night night all!

Evening Nancy and all
I admit I hesitate to post on the day's doings as I'm on the West Coast and always feel a day late LOL Most of you are already in bed or at least planning the next day's events.
Anyway, I'm gratful today is Friday and have 2 days off. Last nite was cold, pouring rain and wind blowing like crazy. National Weather bureau even confirmed that a tornado touched down on the east side of town..and that is practically unheard of in our parts. Today was cold but the sun did break thru this afternoon; just wish they would make up their minds what tomorrow will bring LOL Rain? Flurry of snow around 2am?? High of 40deg? Told hubby I'm staying curled up in bed with the fur babies and watch movies. ;-)
Hope everyone finds something to do that is special to you...don't let the weather dictate your time! ^_^

Hi Vicki...it was amazing on the news last nite.,...all they talked about was our weather and where, if, when the snow was going to be here. Don't know what is going on up in the mountains, but we have gorgeous sunshine, if not albeit cold (34deg at 9am).
Right now we have 4 dogs, 1 cat (that is ours) and 2 birds. My hubby is a kindred soul with animals so we feed whatever cat decides to visit us. Right now we have 4 'boys' who come by every morning for a bite ;-) Our dogs are all chihuahuas, range in age from 13 years to 2years. While I'm the one who found all the dogs, the last one, a black and tan female, Trudy, is 'mine'. Took her over a year to finally allow hubby to touch her; obviously she had been mistreated by a man :-(
Since our weather is sunny, gonna head out to Kaiser to see about getting new glasses...gotta get while the getting is good...frames are 50
% off LOL
Have a great day!
