TGIF!! What's Happening With You?
Good morning Nancy B. and OFF family, Happy Friday!
Well had my Dexa scan yesterday and the table moves and just that little movement caused a dizzy spell, but the time I got home I had to take an Antivert. Oh well it's done and today I'm fine.
Going to babysit 2 mth. old granddaughter Holly tonight so daddy can play cards with my hubby and his 2 buddies. I'm such a "baby hog" and I'm one of those women that just loves babies. Daddy Russel says he doesn't want to take advantage of me but I just told him God has answered my prayers with grandchildren and that some grandma's don't mind babysitting. I see myself this summer riding my bike over to their house and putting Holly in the baby seat on my bike and take her for a ride.
It's the little things in life that make me happy. Not "things like jewelry" things like spending time with my family. Making memories for my grandchildren, stepdaughters and their hubbies along with being with my hubby. I never had that before in my life and now my world is complete.

The sun is shining through my window right now and it's beautiful outside. We really didn't get a lot of snow last night but we had the blowing and drifting. That groundhog better be right...I'm waiting for Spring.

Good morning all, I have another appt. this afternoon, this time with an oral surgeon. Not too happy about all this, but I guess I have to take care of me. I was told any wrk they do, I will be knocked out.
It's snowing again, I love living up here, but wish spring would come earlier.
We now have a cat. Four small dogs & a cat & 2 fish. Our cat is bigger than 3 of the dogs. Thank goodness they all get along well. They are hilarous when they all play. We may go to Grand Rapids this weekend. The dogs travel with us. I am having withdrawal from the grands.

No work for me today. Too much snow to chance taking my client out.
Nancy - I've got a CD in my car with lullabies & nursery rhymes. Teddy Bear's Picnic is one I play most often.
Laureen - I've lived in this house for almost 44 years. If I had to clear out all the accumulated stuff, it would take 4 dumpsters and an army.
Last night the PT swim instructor announced he is retiring. The class took a vote and told him he couldn't. Unfortunately, he has the veto. The class will not be the same without him. He makes the work out fun.
There is a pot of ham and bean soup simmering. The cats are all watching the 8 squirrels, cardinals, blue jays and a gazillion other birds on the deck. The birds and squirrels come right up to the sliding glass doors to look inside. All 6 cats go bonkers. Amusing.

Hi Nancy B and all my OFF friends,
Went for chemo this morning and couldn't have it ~ my white blood count is too low. So now I'm scheduled for next Thursday. Anyone ever have this happen to you? My oncologist said there is not anything I can do to get it back up. He's hoping more time will correct it.
It's 46*, raining, and great big clouds of fog are rolling across the snow. There is a lot of snow so I don't think the rain will get rid of it all.
I'm working on my expected grandchild's afghan. Then I will make one for the cancer center in masculine colors. There are many feminine ones in the cancer center already. My girlfriend was so excited yesterday when I gave her the afghan I made for her.
Hubby got his partial plate this week so he is getting used to that. I went to the grocery store yesterday and got lots of vegetables - oyyy the prices. Last night I made roasted vegetables and froze 3 bags worth. Then I made turkey chili and got three containers. One we will have tonite for supper and the rest is going in the freezer. Luckily, most of the work was sitting at the counter and doing the chopping. Today I'm just taking it easy.
To all those talking of organizing and purging, I'm right there with you.
Well I'm going to go make some turkey cheese roll-ups for lunch and half a dill pickle.

Thanks. I was reading on line that some of the things that help boost the immune system are eating dark green veggies, zinc supplements, drink green tea, exercise 30 min. a day, etc. I was wondering if that worked for anyone going through chemo. Maybe Carolyn?
I'm resting in front of a nice toasty fire right now. The temp. has dropped below freezing again and we had rain all day. I hope no one is traveling right now.
