Good Morning OFF!
Just got done watching "Eat, Pray, Love".  Hadn't seen it before, but it was a pretty good movie.  Then got onto Facebook to check in and my son was online and I got to chat with him for a few minutes.  Not sure why he was even still up, Sat and Sun he works at McDonalds from 4am-12 noon!  He might as well not even go to bed! LOL
Got the laundry done Friday night, now to clean when I get up later today.  Need to fill the gas tank too.  GOing to be very cold here Saturday and Sunday. Not expected to get above 0!  The wind seems to be picking up also, I know that is going to drive the wind chill factors down down down!  Well, think I am going to hit the hay, talk to you later! Hope all are doing well!

Good mornin' ya'll.
Woke up way too early, unable to get back to sleep.
I keep thinking of tons of things I should get done before my hip surgery. My DIL keeps telling me to chillax, anything that doesn't get done she can do or it can wait. Anything that needs to be purchased she can do or it can wait.
My DIL has really taken off with her crochet. She has made 2 infinity scarves and is working on a third. She wants to make scarves and matching hats for coworkers for next Christmas.
It's supposed to get cold and ugly here this weekend. I'll stay tucked up here in the house.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

I know that your surgery will go well and you'll be up and around in no time.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Good Morning, All

Debbie, is Vermont colder than Ohio?  So glad your furnace is working.  I HATE being cold!!!

I'm up early today, too.  I've already had my first cup of coffee, and shall shortly haul my butt up and maneuver the walker to get my second one.  I'm not having any problems with pain, but I know the walker is a necessity at all times right now, and it's really tough to carry a full cup of coffee and handle the walker at the same time.  Good thing the cats like the little bit of creamer I add, because all three are following behind to lick up the spills.   I couldn't maeuver a mop right now if my life depended on it...

I'm having far less post op pain than I thought I would.  The doctor said yesterday would brobably be the worst day, but all I had was some mild discomfort just before I went to bed last night.  Didn't even need a pain pill.  The reason for the walker to is avoid stress on the foot and keep it healing well, not because I need it to support myself.  Still makes me feel old....

Hobbling between the family room and the TV and computer, and the living room and the DVR and my crocheting and books.  That's my life this week.  The best part is that it's just too much work to wander into the kitchen at will, so I'm only eating my meals.  And I'm drinking less coffee, 'cause it's too hard to carry.  Bottled water is easier.

Soooo, that means that this foot surgery is a GOOD thing, right?

My problems are so insignificant compared to so many others.  I hope everyone is doing well.

Yeah, yeah, yeah Louise..

'Don't call early'.. You're UP!!!

Glad you aren't in pain.  It's 7 am and I need to be ready to walk out the door with the car gassed up, the bank run made, packed, hair colored, and all documents in place... guess what?

Oh, and I'm in TWO suitcases.

Thelma doesn't travel well without Louise.

Hugs,

Get that Starbucks mug had that has all of the beautiful "Girls of Fall" on it! I used anything I. had with a covered top on it. It sometimes dripped a drop or two but still was much better than trying to maneuver a full cup.

Or one of those "warmer coffee carafes" you could get two or three cups in that and pour it into your favorite mug when you get to your chair.

So happy to see how well you are doing!

Glad to hear you are doing so well Candy.  I have to admit, tho, that reading the part about doing less coffee...your reason wasn't what I was expecting ;-)  Something about hobbling to the bathroom came to mind...I know that's what coffee does to me! LOL   Sometimes I think God should have given us 3 arms and hands ^_^

Good morning Deb and my OFF friends,

Gosh, do your best to stay warm, this sounds like a horrible storm hitting the East Coast. Can't imagine!  Guess you'd love to have our mid 40's, huh?

Another day of nothing going on but healing. I guess that's my job right now. I'm supposed to massage the incision lines twice a day to get the scars to flatten out. Sure hope it works because the ones on my arms are scary!  It will be okay, just going to take some time, which is not a concept I handle well...lol

Gary's working on his running schedule, going to do an 8 mile run today. I'm so proud of him, but he's so OCD that I wonder how long THIS is going to last. He has a goal to run the Marine Corps marathon in DC the end of October. I hope he sticks with it, but trust me, I'm not booking  plane tickets just yet. God, that sounds so negative, but he's Mr. Hobby DeJour.....LOL.  Gotta love him, though!

Okay, off to get another latte. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
