It's finally Friday! Sup?
I remember when I was in speech therapy for my lisp ... one of the things the speech therapist had me do was talk about myself, what I liked, what was going on in my life (I was only in fifth grade at the time). She had me read things I had written (because even back then, I knew I wanted to be a writer). And sometimes, of course, I cried, because people made fun of me ... my weight, my lisp, etc. So I identified with the king ... I knew what he went through because of his speech impediment.
So I appreciate what you do, Julia ... you give youngsters hope and new life by helping them speak better. You know how kids tease ... and every little thing that makes a kid different gets picked on.
Having a rough morning.....the move is actually hitting me hard today. Plus Nic leaves for St Jude's in Memphis Sunday....scans and testing Monday and Tuesday. I always get so worried the week before and during those tests.
Keeping so many of you in my prayers....spouses and families too. You are always on my mind you awesome OFF people!!
I will check back in later if I can.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
So sorry you couldn't get the procedure completed...but maybe it was for the best with surgery on Monday and all? You had alot on your plate this week for sure. Congrats on the CT scan being cancer free!! That is just AWESOME!!!
Today is just another day at work and then a wonderful 'warm' weekend ahead..or so the weatherman says. Suppose to be in low 60's..that would be wonderful...means hubby and I can get out in the garage and do some cleaning up. We can barely walk from front to back..forget about side to side LOL
I have gotten my rear in gear...back on the tread mill last nite...2.5miles in 45 min. Not bad...working my way to 6 miles (time undetermined!) so I can join my support group here and participate in the Bay to Breakers marathon in May..walking the 10k portion. Starts in Oakland (CA) across the Bay bridge to San Francisco side...lots of crazy people...but it will be soooo much fun ^_^
Have a great day...and prayers for all

For me the prep was the worst part of the colonoscopy. They gave me anesthesia so the actual test was a breeze. Except the part after where the doc told me there was cancer in my colon.
Second on the worst list is swallowing 40 oz. of contrast for a CT scan which I did this week.
Best of luck on your hip surgery.
Bev
Hi Grammylew and all my OFF friends,
Went to the oncologist this morning. My CT scan shows my cancer is the same. Which is good because it has not progressed but not great as it would be if my cancer had shrunk. So I'm going to do 2 more cycles (8 weeks) of chemo and get another CT scan after that.
I asked the doc if I was in danger of liver failure and he said not at this time. So that is good too.
We will call our son tonight and give him the latest update.
Not much going on with me. No plans for the weekend. It's supposed to get real cold, in the single digits. We had 4 inches of snow last night. We have had 55" of snow which is usually what we get for the whole winter and this was just the first month of winter.
Hugs to all,
Bev
The weather here is extremely cold. not too much snow but cold. We are heading up home tomorrow so we will see. Doris QC.
