Surgery over!

If all surgeries could go as smoothly as this foot one, I might even consider having some nipping and tucking done.  I know that's not gonna happen.  Having a bone spur removed comes nowhere close to some of the major surgeries I've had done.

I was home by 3, resting with foot very elevated most of the time.  Pain is minimal, but the nerve block hasn't worn off yet.  Can't WAIT for that to happen, probably in the middle of the night...  My niece stayed till about an hour ago, helped me out with getting settled and some food into me.  She works tomorrow but will come back about 7 pm after work.  If I need anything during the day I can call my brother or my neighbor, but I'm thinking I'll be fine if I take it easy.  I plan on pain meds and naps to get me through the day.  Right now I'm suddenly exhausted, going to bed.

Thank all of you who were thinking of me and offering good thoughts.

Candy

Hi Candy.....I'm a newbie around here when it comes to posting, usually I'm a lurker but have been keeping up with your upcoming surgery.  I just wanted to take a moment to say I'm glad it's over for you and that  you're doing well.  Thank God for good family/friend support huh.  Sounds like your neice is a sweetie.  Best of luck to you and hoping for a quick easy recovery.

Candy,

Glad to hear your home safe and sound and that surgery went OK. Hope pain stays minimal. Take a little nap for me, please. I love a nap!

Take Care,
Cheryl

Yippee!  So happy to hear you're doing well.    Now lets see if you can get those knitting needles (or is it a crochet hook?) going & stay off your feet for awhile.
Hugs,
Jan

Louise.....

It's Thelma.

We'll talk before I get on da Luv Boat.  I'll be looking for Murray for ya.  You're crippled now. He might have a chance.

Love you.

Candy, Another Mother Hen checking in. So glad your surgery went well and that you are home.  Just because you feel good don't overdo it! Those drugs made me feel so "clever." Looking forward to YOUR posts! January isn't good for much of anything in my opinion so recovery from surgery is as good of a use for it as anything. By the time "digging and planting" time comes you'll be ready to get down and dirty. Guess we'll all just have to enjoy Red's cruise vicariously!!

Glad your surgery is over and done with.  I am sure it will be nice to walk without pain.  I am also sure that Thelma will gladly have a drink for you on da boat.  That should help a little with the pain.  Murray may be able to catch you now that you're moving slowly but who is going to protect Murray from the red head chasing him.  Just a thought.
