Oh yeah, Sam's Joint is alive and kicking! We ususally go to the one in Plainwell and there is one by Gun Lake that we have gone to also. I think there is another on somewhere else.
They do have great BBQ ribs!

Good Morning Grammylew and everyone....

Grammylew....keeping prayers coming your way for your surgery and a great recovery.

My daughters and grands all just left and heading back to their homes. It was a very, very bitter/sweet time for me....and them as well.At least now everyone knows of the move and that is quite a relief.

I am mentally and physically exhausted. By mistake I took my Trazadone (night med) with my morning meds. I can't hardly stay awake. Guess I might as well take a nap until it wears off.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.Prayers for so many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Carolyn and my OFF family:

Hope your procedures/surgery go well. We are having a warm-up here ... it's up to 56 degrees today but still gloomy. Supposed to get rain again today ... it rained all day yesterday.

And the Bears won yesterday, so they're one game away from the Super Bowl, although I'm worried about the Packers ... they're playing so well. Congrats to the Jets, too ... I know Laureen and George are happy.

I have today off ... no big plans, but I do want to get the rest of the Christmas stuff put away. It's almost done, but I have two more boxes to bring out and put away, and then I have to put it all back into the closet a certain way or it doesn't fit right. Plus, I want to get the Easter stuff up at the front so I can get it out easily in a month.

Suddnely I have a headache coming on ... don't know why. I've been sitting here drinking my coffee with protein but the headache has just started. Not good.

Well, have a good day. Debbie,I remember Sam's Joint too ... ate at one in Rockford, MI, once. Good ribs.

Hi everyone...happy Monday!!  Today has been a busy day thus far.  My hubby & I, along with my sister, took my daughter, Rachael, who has special needs, to Norfolk, VA to her eye specialist.  This was a pre-op visit.  She's having surgery this Friday on both eyes.  The Dr. is correcting the muscles in both eyes, something she was born with but they wanted to wait until she reached the maturity growth stage before they did this surgery.  So, I'm excited that it'll be something to get behind us but nervous at the same time.  She has NO clue what's going on.  She understands the Dr. visits, lets them check her eyes, likes the eye chart, thinks it's a game, hates the eye drops but don't we all!!  Anyway, today was a good visit, went to Captain D's for lunch and then home.  It's about a 1 1/2 hr drive from home.

Sounds like my daughter isn't the only one facing surgery.  Grammylew, my thoughts & prayers will be with you during your upcoming surgery.  Many years ago, my Mom had a hip replacement and it wasn't an easy surgery.  Now days, from what I hear, it's MUCH easier.  I'm sure you'll be glad you did it once this surgery and healing is behind you.

Well, I am going to do a couple of things before starting my dinner.  I hope everyone is having a blessed day.

Cindy

Evening all
Been busy but productive day...sun never did come out so did projects inside.  Made a wonderful home-made vegetable soup in the crock pot..meant getting up earlier (today was a holiday-no-work day for me)
than usual for a day off...but, ohhhhh did it taste soooo good this evening.  I was at my WLS support meeting when hubby texted me just how good he thought it was..made me laugh LOL

Tomorrow is back to work and I'm actually looking forward to it.  Guess I'm not ready for retirement after all :=P

Grammylew....will be thinking of this week..hubby went thru hip surgery in 2004..one of the best decisions he ever made! (other than marrying me of course ;-)...I know you will do great...your attitude is infectious!

Susan...I hope you continue to improve each day...please don't over do just because hubby had to go back to work~

Connie...thinking of you as your continue your plans to move...hope the weather cooperates and no more snow/rain your way!

keeping all of my new OFF friends in my prayers and hope you have a great week!
