Thursday is cold here - whats new with you/
Afternoon all....from what should be sunny California..but it sure isn't today. Weatherman's 40% rain has turned into 100%! Been raining ever since I got up this morning at 5:30am. I won't complain however, anything is better than FOG and it is suppose to clear by this weekend.
Today is my birthday (my loving husband said it was my 21st!) and my boss surprised me with a beautiful lavendar tulip plant ^_^ He is so thoughtful..always remembers staffs' b/day, hire dates, and brings in lunch every 2-3 months. Such a huge difference from the boss I started with and put up with the first 16 of 19 years I've been here. We've been throwing around the 'R' word...retirement...and he asked me today if I wanted to go parttime beginning in July. Money is tight and budget is really stretched...but I was considering going pttime NEXT July..of 2012 LOL It's still tempting to mull over....DH says if we can work the numbers..and insurance isn't an issue....well.....maybe.....
Decided to take tomorrow off and make it a 4 day weekend...only a couple of things on the agenda but it is a 'payday' weekend...I'm sure we'll come up with something ;-) I do have a lunch to attend Saturday with the Northern California WLS support group over in Concord (near San Fran sort of) and then Sunday I'm going to a jewelry party.
I'm saying prayers for those I read in need...and general good thoughts for everyone else! Lots of people on this forum...trying to keep everyone clear who is who...but it'll come together eventually ^_^

Happy birthday, Nancy ... 21st or whatever. A few years ago, when I hit 50, a coworker, young man, hit 30 and we worked together at night ... so the next year when we celebrated our birthdays together (they were both in April, two days away from each other), he said we were celebrating the first anniversary of our birthdays. So I kept saying I was 1 year old ... then 2 ... then 3, etc.)
LOL Eileen....my DH actually said: happy 21st b/day for the 40th time' LOL I'm just having a hard time wrapping my brain around the number 61...that's the age my MOM is at in my head..sooo I'm way too young (at heart at least) to be THAT old LOL
