Thursday is cold here - whats new with you/
Good Morning OFF!
BRRRRR is all I can say! My furnace is out in the rental property here in Vt and it is downright chilly in the house! The thermometer reads 50, but I'm thinking it's colder.
Yesterday was a day to forget actually! My car gets paid off in July, and after a few months to a year of no car payments I will be getting something different with All wheel drive or 4 wheel drive and a bit heavier. I'm thinking a Subaru Forrester or something similar. People in the UP and here have both said how well the Subaru's do in this weather type. Furnace will either be replaced today or a new pump put in. had to call the emergency number twice yesterday evening. got stuck in the driveway, plow came and helped me get out, then the furnace guy came the first time. got the heat started but it didn't last long. had to call him back. Furnace caput now. the owner even talked to me on the phone last night and apologized! The people I am renting from are really nice, and responsive I have to say! I just hope it's warmer tonight. BRR! time to go get ready for work, see ya all later!

Have any of you read The Secret? I read it 4 years ago. Made a vision board, practiced everything in it. It worked. I DID get a check for $120,000. I DO have a zero balance on all my credit cards and the house and car are paid of. I did lose over 100 pounds. I am rereading it to get back into the good habits. I am making a new vision board. It says to believe the universe answers your requests. I prefer to believe it is God. My point is, now my weight is headed back DOWN. I am at the gym every morning. I am trying to be more positive and to help others more. I DO believe!
In the next 2 weeks, I have an appt with the oncologist, with a CT scan, here in town. I have a colonoscopy scheduled and will have to do the pre op work up 2 days before (these are 2 hours away).
I have hip surgery scheduled and will have to do the pre op work up 2 days before that (these are 2 hours away in the other direction).
Everyone here is back to work and school. Roads seem clear but the temps are still in the 20's.

BRRRR here too. Our furnace is out also...wasps in the outside intake area. Waiting for repair man. Hubby & I have long johns on and socks. It's only 31 but still cold.

good morning! roxie and i were up at 3 am- then back up at 6--her lil schedule is screwed up with me going to school now! we'll get back in the groove-
anyhow-just dropping by to say hi and send hugs and prayers....
debbie-i have heard good things about teh subarus as well- and wish i had bought one instead of my "rusty"--hindsite! lucky you with responsive landlords!

well- today shopping and then homework- will post about life in my world maybe seperately over the weekend- includes good stuff about michael!
looking at the long run picture for this year and it HAS to get better! i need something to look forward to so i'm gonna just think positive thoughts-

I know it is early but how are ya liking school so far. I returned to school and got my teaching degree at age 40. I did much better the second time around. Hope you find it interesting and slightly challenging. I need to go back to school for the 3rd time, maybe then I'd be able to spell.

About cars....I have a 98 Cross Country Volvo that I got used a few years ago. The 98 was not a good year for Volvos, but in the "get me though the winter part," it has NEVER gotten stuck, been unable to go up a hill or slid all over in the snow....I don't even have snow tires. It is also a very safe car. I am able to drive in the snow without worrying, well, I do worry about the "other guy."
We had a snow storm, got about 6-8 inches yesterday and now it's RAINING!!!!! Yuck yuck yuck....
Mom is going to care center dad is at today. Thank goodness for small favors!!! It is the care center in their retirement community so that makes things a bit easier and they can see each other.
Gotta get clean and shinny and then Bee U tee full, gonna put on a pair of pants I haven't worn for a very long time...wish me luck.

Good Morning Debbie and everyone posting! I love it when you post! I want to know what's up in all of your worlds. I got back yesterday from SF- all is well on the boob front. My oncologist just LOVES to touch them- haha! He's very handsome, young, smart- what a thrill for me!
My crazy news- I'm embarassed- while I was in SF our pay-off check to the mortgage company BOUNCED! Geeeeeez- WTH!!!! It turns out that our equity enhancement program changed hands and it pulled out another house payment on DEcember 30th leaving the account a bit too low to cover the check to the mortgage company. I don't know who made the mistake- maybe me? I sure didn't think they would pull out that money on the 30th- but I'm sure they'll say it was my fault... We will survive. At least the house is within $600 of being OURS!
I guess that's it for my news. I'm going to a cabin in Sonora for the long weekend with a group of women- scrapbooking/cardmaking. It will be fun! I think I'll get the best bed again since I'm the most "gimpy".
I'd better git to gitting... my Grandma used to say that! Don't freeze today if you can help it.
