It's wednesday, watcha' doin'?
Hi grammylew, if you can survive the bowel prep the rest is easy. It is -3 degrees outside. Brr! Fortunately we will be warming up by this weekend. Nothing much going on. My DH's birthday is this weekend. He is getting close to retirement age. It is kind of freaking me out. I don't know if I am ready for him to retire. Did anyone else go through this? Good morning to everyone!
Just got back in from digging out from under six inches of snow--we were *lucky* because many places got a couple of feet as two storms converged! It's getting harder and harder to dig out as each year goes by. My DH isn't able to shovel like he used to and he gets frustrated and bent out of shape. We don't have neighborhood kids going around trying to earn money by shovelling. I guess they're too busy playing the video games their parents buy for them. ;) Luckily, we still have some adult kids living at home. I think eventually we'll go to one of those 55 & over communities so we don't have to worry about that stuff.
A doctor's appointment my DH had was cancelled due to the weather or some other reason so we don't have any place we need to be today.

Not much on tap for me other than work and a quiet evening at home with DH. Spend the time watching TV, crocheting new blanket for myself finally (all the others were Christmas gifts) and reading an old James Patterson novel (Along Came A Spider-was a movie with Morgan Freeman).
Our northern Calif weather is 'trying' to get to sunshine but burning off the morning fog seems to take forever. Been in the 40's (probably considered WARM to you all back east) and hopefully today will make it to low 50's. My DIL has gone to Belize for 2 weeks...has the nerve to brag about being in shorts! And my sister is 'wintering' in Baja...kayaking on the Sea of Cortez...sheesh! Family have no sympathies at all...just tell me to come join them LOL
I'm sending out well wishes and prayers for everyone...we all could use a 'good day' ;-)

It's cold here but no snow or ice ... just 33 degrees ... brrrr! I can stand the cold.
Nothing going on for me today. I slept later than I expected but then I kept waking up ... either sweating or coughing ... got to figure out what's going on there. Almost finished with my book, "Pope Joan." Really good book, historical fiction about a woman who was pope but the record of her was expunged after the Reformation. Got a couple loads of laundry already in ... don't plan to do anything much today. The only outing will be to get mail and maybe mail a letter that has to get out today.
I woke up with a headache and it's trying to go away, so I'm trying to lay low today. I hope to get some Christmas decorations down today.

Well we got 18 inches of snow. So that means we have 2 1/2 feet with the last snowstorm. Hubby spent most of the day out clearing it all. Luckily, last year we got a snowblower attachment for the front of our lawn tractor. It is working very well. We have a long driveway and a parking area at the top. So there is a lot of snow removal to do. A lot of people didn't go to work or have school today. Temperatures are supposed to turn frigid tonight so the snow won't be going away anytime soon.
I've just stayed in all day and have made good progress on crocheting my Grandson Morgan's afghan. We have had a nice fire in the woodstove all day. So I've just stayed by it for most of the day. We are finishing up the leftovers from all the food that has been given to us for dinner. So not much work involved there, just making a veggie and microwaving the rest.
Tomorrow I may go to dinner with my Mom and sister. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
My boss gave me a project to do, so I will get that done in the morning.

I'm late but guess it's better late than never.
Today with all the snow here in Philly I worked from home.
Then I went out and shoveled the sidewalk, cleaned off the car & truck, and shoveled what the guy didn't plow in the driveway.
Hubby was working on his syllibi for his graduate class he teaches on Wed night so I decided to be a good wife and take the pressure of the snow removal off him so he could concentrate on his preparation of class materials.
Tonight I should be on my treadmill but am really wanting to take a nap before I go to bed...
