WHAT'S NEW SUNDAY!!!
Good Morning all,
I have been up and back to bed already and now am waiting to get my shower and head for church. Then need to get groceries that I haven't been able to get yet and then I will head up to the hospital to see my mom.
Yesterday, I was very assertive with staff and requested mom get a private room. Last night my dad called and said that they had moved her to a private room! YAY! Now maybe she'll sleep better. I will head up there today and bring her some home cooking.
My sister and brother- in- law went to their apartment last night and cleaned out the fridge and cleaned up the apartment best they could. Have I mentioned the hoarder part of this? One small example then I'll stop. Sister kept calling me to tell me what was discovered as they went through the apt to try and tidy it up and of the many things she found, just one item that shows how hard it is for mom to throw things away, was a big bunch of ink pen caps with a big rubber band around them, no ink pens, just the caps and many many of them. She said she was just overwhelmed and sad to see it all. I had been in there a few days ago and had to just turn around and go home after dropping mom off as it just is so hard to see and she won't let anyone do anything. And if you throw anything away heaven help you.
Bev, how wonderful to get 8 hours of sleep. I may have to try that Lunesta. I have been on Resteril for a long time and even with that I usually average only 4-5 hours 6 if I am very very lucky.
I should do laundry today too but who knows....
Take care all,
Cheryl

Slightly off? I have papers to prove that I am completely off.!!
I was supposed to go to the gym with Marcy. She had to turn around due to the snow. I decided to go anyway. I had such vertigo that I almost landed in a ditch. Turned around and spent the day sleeping.
This has been kinda bad lately but man oh man, I felt like there was a tornado in my brain.
Tom's visit at the VA was a long and tiring day. The Vascular doctor was wonderful. He answered all my questions and then some. With Tom's high and erratic BP, surgery would be more dangerous than the aneurysm. There will be follow up tests to keep an eye on it. I feel slightly relieved.
Tom will go for a sleep study soon. I am positive that he has sleep apnea. No results on the hip xray yet. More adjustments on his BP meds.
Kisses

Annette,
My husband had aneurysm's and high BP for years. He was told as long as he took his medicine like he was supposed to, didn't eat sal****ched his diet, and did all the 'stuff' that he'd likely live a lot longer than he did.
He wouldn't give up smoking; eating fatty foods; salt, sugar (diabetes); take his meds. He pretty much had a death wish. Pretty bad when the man thinks that's the only way he can get away from you....:)
It is what it is, but you can't dwell on it. THAT is worse than what he's got. You can't force him into it unfortunately. I'm glad the doctor gave you some answers and is talkative.
We went to the VA here, too. Couldn't have made it if we hadn't.

Hi Janet and my OFF family:
I am very OFF ... always have been. Hell, I talk to myself at work ... I guess it's because I worked so many years all alone ... it's the way I solve whatever problems I'm working on.
We didn't get the "big snow" either ... we got some rain, don't know if it was freezing or not, haven't been outside far enough to tell. Some of my coworkers were joking that they were going to Walmart after work to watch everyone buy bread and milk (that's what Southerners do when there's the threat of snow or freezing rain). And these were native Louisianans that were making the comments. I had to laugh.
There was much sadness at work last night over the Saints losing to the Seahawks. Oh well ... it would have been nice to see them win, but I'm a Bears fans, so I root for them first.
Working again tonight, then off for four days ... it's Christmas and New Year's this week (well, the holidays in my paycheck at least).
Janet, hearing you talk about painting almost makes me want to get out my ceramic pieces and paint again ... can't freehand, but I can "paint by number" ... or follow a pattern.I have problems doing the eyes or anything tiny, like letters.
Well, I was online checking if my brother was on Skype ... he's not here yet. See ya later.
