I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good gracious morning to you Janet, and all my OFF buddies.
I take exception to your "slightly OFF family" remark. Personally, I waaaaaaaaaay more than slightly off, and am proud of it! LOLLLOOOLLLLOOLLL
Honey, I'm so happy that you are teaching your GD to paint. Whether or not that painting is saved, the memories will be carried forever. Those are the best gifts anyway, aren't they? It will be a great thing for both of you.
The freezing rain you are having will be coming here this afternoon. They are talking heavy snow this afternoon and overnight, and lightening up tomorrow. Great. Tomorrow is my regular day off, but with surgery scheduled on Wednesday I'm totally and completely booked Monday and Tuesday. I'm suspecting that I won't be able to get to work tomorrow, but have NO clue what's to be done with those scheduled to come in. They will just have to have the other girl do their nails, and that's all there is to it. Frankly, I can use one more day to get my act together around here before I'm laid up for who knows how long.
Ok......rattled enough. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and if it's not sunny outside, let the sun shine in your hearts. Sappy, huh?

Good Morning OFF family,
Janet, what fun helping GD learn to paint! Wish I could learn, but have no skill & have been told I'm not very observant of details (I hear that's important to an artist). Enjoy!
Been having a wonderful time with Karen C - We went to the Getty Museum in LA yesterday so had our bit of culture. Today our plan is to walk the trail at the beach in San Clemente, then have lunch at the pier with the waves crashing below us --- however, it's only expected to be a high of 56 today, so that sounds chilly to this Cali girl & we might have to change the location for the walk & lunch. Anyway, after that we'll visit a Country Quilt / Gift / Craft shop and then meet Kathikins (remember her???) for dinner tonight. Tomorrow, we'll meet up with our Peg in Red - can't wait to see her again! Making friends online is fun, but getting a hug in person is the real deal in my opinion.
Karen eats next to nothing & goes like all day like the eveready bunny, so she'll probably be wasting away to a wisp of a girl soon!
That's it for now - have a great day everyone!

Hi Janet and all my OFF Friends,
My Lunesta finally worked over the steroids last night and I got eight hours of sleep. WooHoo. I think I will also be able to nap today. Need to do some catch-up.
We got two more inches of snow last night. The wind is really blowing now. All the snow is almost off the branches now and drifts are starting to form. Tuesday we are supposed to get another snowstorm of about 4-5". But for now the sun is shining and we are keeping the woodstove going and staying nice and warm.
I had wanted to go to JoAnn's Fabrics and get some yarn this weekend. And Costco. But I just don't want to go outside and get cold. So I won't.
My sister is coming over at 1:30 p.m. to help me put away my Christmas decorations. I really enjoyed them this year. I will be sad to see them go. I'm going to try to do some picture printing today . . . aw heck, I'll just upload them to Walgreens and let them print them. But I do need to print posters for the Sweetheart Dance I have chaired for many years. Now I'm just doing some of the background work and I have someone else chairing it this year.
I hope it does well. All the money gets divided between the scouts who sell tickets and supply raffle prizes. The money goes into their accounts to be used for camping and trips the scouts take during the year.
I hope everyone who is facing challenges finds peace.
Hugs to all,
Bev
