Good Morning Grammylew and everyone...

A lot of excitement here soon. My daughter and her family are getting a new puppy from the animal rescue shelter today. It is a little black lab...they are so good with kids so Grace will be fine with it.They have one already. Kippley needs a friend!!!

Gracie is so excited....Santa comes tonight!!!  We made a special calendar that she tears a loop off every night. Only one loop left. She is so overjoyed!!!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!

Love, hugs and prayers.... connie d

Good afternoon everyone.  I went out to buy a down-filled jacket for myself because it has been so cold already this season and I want to be ready for the real winter weather when it comes.  The down is really warm - no one will know who I am if I have the hood up, but I sure won't be cold!
I was surprised that the stores weren't really busy.  People were shopping, but I was just the third person in line at the checkout at Sears.  The economy has been much better here than in the US, so I was expecting an onslaught of buyers.  I guess that people are saving up for the Boxing Day sales, which are the day after Christmas.  That is our Black Friday  -  the biggest sales day of the year.
I'm off to spend the day with a friend and her family and then to my sister's home tonight.  Should be a good day.
I hope that all of you have a good day; I know that Christmas can be so hard on us.  It has taken years for me to feel good about this holiday, but I think that I have finally conquered the overwhelming sadness that I have felt for most of my life on the 25th of December.  Be good to yourselves and enjoy just being alive and living in the moment.
Merry Christmas.
Margaret

hello all!
last nite i realized something...when i wake up Christmas morning it will be the first time in my entire life that i was alone (without humans that is) in the house--there has always been someone-my parents, my brother, grandparents, aunt and uncle and cousins, roomie, hubby , kids , michael.....this year i can walk up the hill to my mom's and will but when i first get up it's brody, roxie and me......i know it's by choice, however, it gives me a melancholy feeling!

worked a short day- wonderful customers...made it nice!

papers came today for financial aid for winter and spring quarters.....i'm getting excited!

still have 4 presents to wrap for tomorrow at mom's....need to find something protein for dinner (i'm a northerner!--loved that, linda!)

my car-Rusty, btw--is still at the mechanics.....

i think i'm gonna go cuddle with roxie and watch some hallmark....

sending love and best wishes to all of you.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
