I've been making fingerless mittens. Great for those who text on their phones or have iPads, iPhones. Made 6 pairs so far, one more to go and an infinity scarf/cowl/mobeus thingy.....made on size 15 needles. Should go fast.

The mittens are super easy, about a 7 inch square sewn up one side with a hole left for the thumb. I'll send you the pattern if you want.

Both patterns actually sound great.  My knitting skills are limited, but I do keep trying.

I've been looking all over for one of those cowl things.  I have size 15 needles.  Do you use straight or circular?

Thank you.

I'm still making cookies.  Still doing OK, but I haven't started the actual baking yet.....

Stay warm.

The mittens are on straight needles, the cowl is on circular. But, if you don't mind a seam, you could do it on a straight needle.

I sent you an e-mail with the pattern links.

Check out ravelry.com. It's an international web site for knitters/crocheters and has amazing patterns from super easy to "how in the Hell do you do that?" hard. I check it every day for new patterns. Most of them are free, some cost up to $5.   It's my obsession de jour

I'm not sure, but I think Jan Smith uses the ravelry.com website.

The knitting patterns need to be really, really easy for me...

Thanks.

Good morning Grammylew and OFF family!!!

Counting down the days til I see my family again!!! 4 days a a sleep...LOL I had to lie again last night when I talked to mom and my sister...told them I had to "work" til 6 on Christmas eve and then again first thing in the morning day after Christmas so I am not coming....they are going to be so mad/excited when they see me!!!! LOL All the gifts are packed for the trip and just need our clothes and personal items packed and we are ready to go!!! We are getting so excited for this trip its unreal!!! We will be having our Christmas with Rick's family (if they show up) thursday night here. I have 3 more rows to finish on that afghan for his daughter. Yeah I am finishing it just so it makes me feel better, but I am sure she will not appreciatie it one bit. I told Rick she will probably toss it out when she gets it home. He said he finds out she does that its the last he has anything to do with her. Right now she is dating a black guy and that is upsetting him. I told him to keep quiet about it to her and also to his mother! Because she would go right back to her and tell her what was said and that would make her get even closer to this guy. So he is going to do as I ask. Now to see if she shows uo for our Christmas thursday.

Snowing here today. Looks pretty. Hope it doesn't snow while we travel back and forth to Michigan. 23* so it is cold yet. Tomorrow starts Winter and the days will start getting longer again!!! Wooohoooo!!!!! ;-)

Well best get going need to get ready for work and get to the bank before work. Have a great day and know that I am thinking of you all!!!

HUGS

Good Morning Everyone!
I think I'm done with the Christmas prep. We had my husband's family here on Saturday and we travel on the day after Christmas to celebrate with my side. I need to "ribbon" a few gifts and find the stocking gifts that I hid from my daughter (I hid them too well I'm afraid), but I'm pretty much relaxing at this point, which is unusual. I don't have any money to spend... so no shopping allowed.
I hope that your doctor visit is fruitful Annette. Surely they will try to get the blood pressure under control. Don't you just hate medical issues?! I've always been freaked out by the medical stuff... maybe that's why I've had so much... someone in the universe is trying to get me to get used to it. AS we get older I hear that the doctor becomes our frequent friend. I feel like I am BFFs with mine just from this year. He does always calm me down. I hope that Tom's doctor will have that effect on you too.
Nothing else to report here. We have rain... when it gets to you all it will probably be snow. I like to see it once in a while (like when I go on vacation to the mountains- we are not far from Yosemite) but you can have it for the everyday experience. Driving in it or trying to walk in it without falling is just not in my future. Right now I'm afraid of falling in the house- snow would put me over the edge! :)
I'm enjoying my Kindle this week... lots of reading time now that I'm off work. I'm thinking that if I ever have some extra cash I would like to buy a Nook color. I think I would enjoy trying to use that with my kids at school, using children's books. They would get a kick out of it I'm sure.
Enough rambling I guess. Thinking of you all, especially those of you that have been up close and personal. Hugs to all!

Good afternoon Grammylew and everyone!!

I am so busy playing with Gracie....you name it we have done it!! I love being here at my daughter and SIL's. Nic is around but most time either at school or with his girlfriend Katie. Jamie and Travis finally got to go Christmas Shopping this last weekend. They are all done now.

I am trying to catch up on the threads here. Glad to see a few that don't post too often.

Wishing you all a great day. Prayers to so many in need!

Love and hugs for all....connie d
