Tuesday Morning - Hello!

Good Morning Julia and All the Rest of you Folks!!!

Glad you are looking forward to your school break and that things for you are looking up. . .  sorry about your co-worker, so many people dealing with cancer these days, seems like I hear more and more cases, my friend who is 41 and dealing with hers is doing her best to stay positive, we hope the "remission" stays that way for years and years. . . .

Well, I am dragging my sorry butt these days, the cold and this time of year, coupled with some issues on the home front, are making me feel a little blue, but I will not give into that crap and I just want and need some down time, me time actually, a time where I don't have to do anything other than curl up and read, watch television, hang with the Roxie girl, hoping that I can accomplish that over the New Years break, because Xmas is about traveling to my brothers in New York (300 miles round trip in a 24 hour period) and then celebrating the day with my son and grands here in NJ.  I am not complaining, just a litany of the things I have filling up my time so wonderfully, but wanting to be free to do what I want too!   Well there is the New Year holiday and then there is Martin Luther King holiday and in February there is President's day, so I will get what I want and need in the not too distant future.  . .

Well here I sit at my desk, hope today is not too bad, because tomorrow is supposed to be quite bearish. . . 

Well I've checked in with you all and want to wish you the best life has to give and sending thoughts of peace and strength out to all facing the more serious things in life.

I'm just checking in to say HI.

Patiently waiting for Tom's Specialist to call back with an appointment. We are dealing with the VA which is soooo slow. They have until Friday to get back to him.

I talked to the RN who tried to calm my fears. Basically, no strenous activity such as chopping wood. Other than that, make SURE he takes the **** load of BP meds.

Good morning Julia and OFF family!!!

BRRRRR its still cold and wind blowing that snow here in ohio!!!! Will it ever stop?? Got out of work at 5 last night and didn't think I would make it to my car that wind was blowing so hard!!! We are still under a warning til wednesday so its not letting up just yet!

Got good news last night before I left work...I get an extra day off so I can spend time with my kids in michigan!!! Wooohoooo!!!!!!!!! They are excited for me!!! Awesome!!!

Gave Rick one of his Christmas gifts yesterday, longjohns! Had to keep his legs warm while he takes Bandit out and also while he is outside smoking! I feel bad that he smokes outside now and is freezing!! But the apartment doesn't stink of stale smoke now!! You would think he would slow down his smoking in this cold but nooooo he keeps on with it! Can't say I am not trying to get him to stop but he just will not give it up! But atleast he isn't complaining he has to smoke outside in this weather!!

Need to get some laundry done today. No clean long sleeved tops for me to wear to work. Feel like calling off today tho. My leg is killing me after slipping yesterday while trying to get the car door open. And I got a notice in the mail not to take my darvocet anymore because of the ingredient propoxyphene. It could cause serious abnormal heart rhythms. I called the pharmasist and he said not to take it anymore and it is no longer available anywhere. Oh great!! Now what do I take for pain?? He mentioned a few and I can't take them because of the aspirin in them. He mentioned Vicodin, I said that puts me out for a few days. So now I need to figure out a new pain med that will work for me yet let me function!

Judy...my doctor had me on Darvocet and I too can no longer take it. I was on Vicodin and am going back to it as that is what has worked the best for me. I can only take it when I know I won't be driving. Hope they find something that works for you!

My WLS surgeon will only let me take Ultram/Tramadol.  Says it won't bother the pouch, but when I do take it once in a blue moon I eat 1/2 carton of yogurt with it, just to be sure...

Good Morning Julia and everyone....

I am sorry but I don't think I will be able to send out Christmas Cards this year. My Arthritis and Fibromyalgia is so bad I can't hardly write or type right now. I will be leaving for Iowa on Friday . I won't be bac****il after Christmas. This awful harsh weather is taking it's toll on me. My hands are worse then they have ever been. If they are better tomorrow I may try to  get them done. I just can't promise anything.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all if I can't get them sent!

Jamie, Nic and Gracie were finally able to leave for home yesterday. Because of the snow storms over the weekend they couldn't chance driving in that weather.

Nic never did get his scans done last week because of the funeral and all. They will reschedule after Christmas. I will keep you posted.

Susan...thanks for calling Annette. Sorry about the Eating Post. With everything going on this last week I wasn't able to post. Hope we can get enough people to commit after the new year.
