Tuesday Morning - Hello!
I have just 4 more days until Christmas Vacation. I'm celebrating that my back to work weeks have been successful! I'm feeling better all the time. I think that the back injury will be permanent to some degree, with some pain to deal with, but I am so OK!
I found out today that a co-worker who was diagnosed with cancer not long after I was has had a reoccurance in her chest wall. That was hard to hear. She is only 43 and with young children. Now more fighting to live...
My gift buying is done but the wrapping is not. We have a family Christmas (my husband's family) coming up on Saturday. The kids- daughter, nieces and nephews- are adults now, but I decided to do something fun for them. I am wrapping little gifts- I-tunes card, Burt's Bees items, socks, cash, shampoo, tablets, little crazy toys, etc. in little boxes. I will also package 5 glass pickle ornaments. If they unwrap a pickle they get a predetermined bigger prize. There will also be DUDS- little boxes wrapped with one Hershey kiss or a jingle bell. I usually do something fun with the kids... they are still kids to me! They call me the "fun" aunt.
It's off to bed for me now. Wake-up comes early. Happy day to all of you!

last nite i came home;put the dogs out and crashed- went to lie down for a nap--hahaha! at 1 am i got up and turned off the tv and living room lite!!!!
today is D Day for me....hope i have all of the paperwork together for this mornings' festivities!
don't really know much else this morning that is worth talking about - my thoughts are very very scattered right now....B12 or ADD??????

I'm concerned about Annette. Tom's health has been in a scary situation and she hasn't been here for a bit. I'll try to call her later and see if all is well.
My boat has gone into dry dock. Everyone seems to be too busy to post on my eating thread, and there aren't even many readers, so maybe after the first of the year? Lots of folks get back on the band wagon come January, so maybe it will pick up then.
My fingers have been flying kitting lots of things for the Holidays. Never can figure out why I wait until December to get the knitting bug, but so it goes.

I woke up nervous and OCDing. Sober 41 days. It got very cold here last night and very windy all day yesterday. I do tend to worry with weather stuff....can't control it I know.

Went to see our kids last night to drop off some items left by our granddaughter this weekend. My 4 yr. old grandson was so excited to see me and I walking up the stairs and he jumped in my arms, wow...felt my back go out so Julia I'm with you right now with the back pain! OUCH!

Yesterday I went with my DIL to her Neurology appt. She has been suffering from headaches for a couple of months. This guy says they are occipital neuralgia. Ordered an MRI. But the doc acted REALLY weird! He looked to be in his 60's and his "office' looked like a temp. fly-by-night operation. His wife came to give a 'shot' of Imitrex to rule out migraines. DIL commented that it looked just like an 'eppi' pen. The wife asked what an eppi pen was. When we got out to the car, DIL said they were both crackheads. I said I'd never seen a crackhead so I wouldn't know. She said she HAD seen some, and those 2 were it! She was referred there by her doc on the base. She'll get the MRI and request another doctor!
Our grandson and his girlfriend came over last night. She has a dress she is wearing to a wedding after Christmas and needs it to be taken in in the bodice and the waist. So I had her put it on to see what it needed. It looked fine to me. She showed me what she wanted done. I swear, she needs a bare 1/2" taken in!! Good Lord! I'll do it, but she better not gain an ounce over Christmas!
So today is sewing again. Dress alteration, and aprons for the DIL's white elephant gifts.
My DH and I had the discussion AGAIN about me doing 'everything for everybody'. He doesn't understand that I truly do love doing all this stuff. An affirmation that I am needed, perhaps? He says he needs me enough, I shouldn't need everyone else to need me, too!
Men!! Or is it just me? I'll continue on, because it makes ME happy!
