It's Monday-what's new?

power went out at 3 again this morning-for a few minutes...
every school in northern michigan(except 1-!) appears to be closed--have no clue how i'm getting to work ! by that, i mean, i still don't have my car and i haven't talked to my taxi driver this early!

enough fresh snow fell that roxie still disappears in it! so pretty to look at tho!

so- what's new with you? i'll come back-just wanted to get us started since i've been up since 3 am!

Decent weekend.  Worked Friday night and Saturday morning at part time job.  Saturday morning before work went to Penney's and got a king size, dual control, Sealy electric heated blanket for $40.  Saturday night went to a parade, then went to see the lights in one of the better neighborhoods.  Good time until I had to bail and go home because of my gut killing me.  I drank about 3 oz of a Chick Fil A Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake.  It tore me up.

It was still good.

Now I am working, waiting for 6:15 to come.  Ready to go home.

 I'm up..it 6:14 here in NY and I'm getting ready for another school day..another week and 1/2 and then we have our winter/holiday break. 
 Went Christmas shopping on Sat.  for hours and hours.  My knees are still screaming at me..!!!
  Snow seems to be coming our way now that it is done or winding down in the Mid-west.  We teachers are always hoping for a snow day !!
  George..I was lactose intolerant before my surgery...am still.  Extra has a new gum..which is flavored Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and its sugar free...will that help???  Its good and that has become my dessert of choice.  No stomach aches after that.  Well time for my protein breakfast and then off I go.

i had no milk problems presurgery but immed following major lactose trouble-now it's better
i'm thinking that george's prob may simply have been the milkshake-full of sugar!!!

oh- i try not to get up til 5 every day normally! i wear a cpap and when the power goes out i wake up!!!

I have problems with ice cream since surgery. Even a little bit makes me miserable.

Cold, cold, cold here this morning. Will be colder tomorrow morning! Still no school closings. It rained all day yesterday and we were expecting some closings due to blac****
Over the weekend I did some necessary shopping at various places. WHY do any of us venture out to shop in December!?! I really hate all these crowds of rude, rushed shoppers. And I have to go to the PO today!
My DIL and son's cabinets did get done on Sat. Well, technically Sunday since the installer was there until 1AM! Now the granite guy comes to measure for countertops. They MAY have a working kitchen by Christmas. It is gonna look gorgeous.
My DIL needs a white elephant gift for a party on Saturday. She decided on matching aprons, one for a man, one for a woman. So we went and got a pattern and the most loud, outrageous material I have ever seen! I'll be making those this week.
I know many of you will be travelling this month so PLEASE be safe! Whether you are driving or flying it can be dicey in this weather.

Morning all. We are having a rain shower, half the sky is clear with sun and half is heavy with black clouds, very dramatic. Should be Very cold here tonight...29. Cold today too only in the 50's. I know many have bad bad weather with frezzing temps, snow, and wind.
I am 40 days sober...proud of me and thankful for all the support I gather here.
Really don't want to do anything today, knees sore from weather, already put mentol rub on them. Started taking the tylenol PM, Walmart brand. It does work, third night sleeping longer. No bad dreams.
I still continue to OCD about things I have no control over, trying hard to let them go. Have a happy day, hugs to all. Monica

Where are you settled in fro the winter this year?  Do you stay in the same place every winter.

Wish I could head somehwhere warm.  18 degrees  and snow last week, mid-40's this past weekend, and snowing and 19 this morning. 

Another day to haul out the Cuddle Duds!

Good morning Margo and OFF family, Happy Monday! Buuuuurrrrr...baby it's cold outside!
My hubby drove me into work, I hate driving on icy roads. He had a small job to do in Kalamazoo anyway so I had a more relaxing drive/ride in just sipping on my pumpkin coffee on the way to work. Love it! LOL

Went to 2 different children's church programs yesterday...one for the grand-daughter and one for the grand-son. It was good that one was in the AM the other in the PM. Little kids are so cute and it just puts a smile on  your face.

We are having my hubby's family Christmas party this Saturday held at my BIL's house, should be a houseful and ya know that mean lots of treats. We are doing a game gift exchange again this year when your ticket number is called you pick a wrapped gift and open it. The next person's number that is called can either pick another gift or take yours. Kinda fun and roudy!

Good morning Margo and everyone......

My daughter Jamie and Nic and Gracie are still here in MN due to bad weather. They are hoping to make it home today.

It has been a very sad and busy week.  Trying to help my BIL get things in order. Melodie did everything. 

I have had Gracie most all the week. She sure keeps me hopping!  Nic and I got to spend some time alone together yesterday.  We had fun!

My granddaughter Amanda spent a couple days with me too. She is such a sweetheart and helped out with entertaining Gracie.

We got about 18 inches of snow....others around here got closer to 24. It was a real mess for a couple days!

Sure have missed you all. Kept many in my prayers of course.
