Frigid Friday here on the East Coast - What's Gnu?
Good Morning Folks,
As the subject line reads, it is way too cold here this morning . . . but I am not complaining, I have heat and health and am rested.
I went to bed last night at 8 because I was soooooo darn tired, my friend Owen came to take me to the AA meeting we usually make on Thrusday's, but when I told him how tired I was, as due to the cir****tances of the night before, I had only 4 hours sleep, he turned around and took me home, so, of course, I woke up at 4 this morning, but at least that is a solid 8 hours and I needed it really badly.
Lots to do this weekend, need to get my grandkids Christmas shopping finished and get out the decorations and decorate. There never seems to be enough time to do all that needs doing and during the holiday's that seems to be the case more than ever. I need a personal assistant (lol).
Still have not heard anything further about my lost keys, hoping to get them back, as there are things on that key chain that are meaningful to me. . .
Well folks, I will be getting ready for work shortly and that will wrap of my week.

i have no clue what the temp outside here tho it is brrrr cold and we got about another inch of snow during the nite- expecting muchos later!
my son is home- thx for letting me vent--there is much more to the story of our estrangement and it is so frustrating to learn things via facebook..... sometimes i hate the direction we are taking; yet...without computers, i would not have all of you!!!!!
our lil family is about to grow by one! by Christmas we will be joined by a beautiful furgal who is about one year old- she was set to be euthanized and was saved...she will be getting final vet check and spaying, if needed, before i bring her home- her current name (since last saturday) is Sabrina-i think she's a Misty short for Mistletoe!
i would post her pic but dunno how! miss roxie had better be on her best behavior and welcome her new sis!!!!! (rox isn't fond of cats in general!)
today is the Christmas Open House at the bank- cookies and calendars and stuff...so no jeans- it's ok! will be a long day tho---i love Christmas ---just not sure about it with the bank!!! haha
well; it's an excuse to wear a pretty sweater i got at the thrift store a few months ago-black cardigan with red felt cardinals. i think a simple black shell under and hopefully i can wear it buttoned-maybe not---
mom brought my mail yesterday-yea! my granddaughter's book came from amazon.com-NOT!!! i ordered the Pink Princess Rules the School and rec'd a DVD of some comic i never heard of!! ouch-so today i get email saying they'll send it in january-nope- cancelled- poo! now i have to try to find it--am building a whle princess themed gift for her!
need to wrap this weekend and then ship--am only sending to my grands....
and some cards--two small gifts to pick up next pay for my brother and i am done......
--well; need to hit the shower-

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo she is beautiful. I have 3 cats..actually my kids have 2 cats ..that they left here when they moved out. I have one. But the two left have become my "babies". When the kids come to visit they walk away and come to me. So who's cats are they???
Cold here in NY...too cold for December. I'm up and getting ready for school.
I had my first visit with a chiropractor yesterday..wow...I was stunned !!! He did xrays and then told me I have arthritis in my lower back and a curve to my spine AND 2 vertebrae that have slipped forward. ALL can contribute to my digestive issues. WHO KNEW ???? So I go back next week.
Well ...eating my oatmeal and need to get going.

aww, what a cutie and whyever would they euthusize such a sweet looking kittie. . . makes me sad when I think about all the wonderful animals put down daily because no one could give them a home. . . If only I had more funds, I'd have more animals. . .

Hubby insists we go shopping for new bra for me so that is what we will do today. Positive thoughts to me please that I handle this OK. Didn't do much yesterday, but I went in the hot tub and went for a long walk (for me). Knees hurt but I did OK.
Missing my kids and Gkids so much.
We have a GoPhone with ATT. It cost me each time I use it. Our Sara gave us a magic jack, but the phone quality isn't good. Anyone else have experience with magic jack, suggestions received happily.
We will try and reach the Bay Pines patient rep today, she has been out of the office all week. Dreading this call, but it is needed. Hope hubby handles this well.
Love to look at our Christmas tree...it is small but so lovely, filled with our memory ornaments that mean so much to us.

I love the fact that when I have no pockets, I can usually find PLENTY of room in one of those pebble cups for everything from a slip of paper to a cell phone. Could probably get the camera in the other side.....
Sometimes I miss the girls. But not the shoulder and back pain and everything else that went with them...
