ok got that coffee cup filled again.

today is kinda a sad day for me, its a year that i lost my mom.  i know she is at peace, but
i miss her something awful some days.

i want to go visit the cemetery, but its kinda cold and windy here, so may put it off for a little
warmer day.

next week its two years since my car accident and the good news there is that im walking
pretty well most days , and i count my blessings on that subject.

i took today off from work, the doctor is away, and things are quiet this week.  Im not sure what
i will do yet, but its nice to be home and warm this morning.

ive been absent from the board for a few days, so as always, hugs to all in need, i love all of you.  the support you have given to me the past couple of years has been so very special.

Hi Jacki, it is so hard when you lose a parent. I lost my mom over 7 years ago and it is still painful at times. I try to remember the good times and the funny things I remember about her.

I have been busy getting ready for christmas. It has been crazy. The weather hasn't been too bad.
Have a great week.  Mona

Jackie,
I know what ya mean, My mom died when I was 10 that was 46 years ago on the 23rd of this month. I didnt have closure with it and I still have nightmares over it. I miss her so much. I often wonder what she would have looked like now if she were alive. I made her rocky road candy the other day just to remember her by and gave it to my doctors office as a gift but I didnt even taste it!!!!!.
17 pounds down from the regain. I am so siked.

Good morning Jacki and OFF family to post later today.

Hugs Jacki, enjoy those wonderful memories of your mom. I think this time of year we do take extra care with our thoughts and prayers and remember our loved ones who are partying elsewhere with joyful spirits! I believe there are angles among us just like the song, listen softly they are around us. For some people it's a hard time of year for them, missing someone and that goes for our fur-babies too.

So today, give out hugs and laughter. For those that are unable to do that, let us warm you with our wonderful greetings of joy.

I'm glad Jacki you are walking and hopefully without pain. Recovering from an accident is hard on our body. My therapist is still recovering from her almost fatal accident in her tiny tiny car she drives, she was lucky to survive.

Work is slowing down now, our Tree of Love Ceremony's are all done, we did 3 of them this year. Lots of extra work behind the scenes if you know what I mean.

Hugs and prayers to all. Time to drink my water and take some vitamins! Debbie

Debbie, Hugs right back at you. They are free and plentiful.  Have you seen the "myspace" video of "free hugs?" If you haven't google it and take a look. it will make you smile and feel warm and cozy. It sure did me!

Good mornin' ya'll.
We've been to Walmart already this morning. Before I had my cocoa !! My DH always gets up WAY before me. So he comes back to go to the bathroom and I was just gettin out of bed. He says lets go to WM now so we can get a good parking spot. Grrr! OK, so I got my warm clothes on and off we went at 6AM and 23 degrees! I know, I could have said no, but he is right. We needed to go yesterday but we put it off cause it was cold out and we were cozy warm inside. So he was right, if we put it off we wouldn't go today either!
Our son and DIL are finally getting their new kitchen put together. Cabinets will be totally installed by Monday. THEN the granite guy has to come take exact measurements. Will have counter tops by the 22nd, but can't USE them until the 23rd! She is so excited!
Last evening she came over and we packaged up all the doggy treats and doggy chew toys I made so she can give them to coworkers and friends with dogs. Cookies were handed out on Tuesday. Now I have nothing to do! I'll go back to crochetting until after Christmas then I'll work on more of next year's Halloween costumes.
Everyone stay warm and have a fantabulous day!

Good Morning Jacki, Everyone!

Jacki, my Mom passed 9 years ago and there are many times I think, I wish I could share this and that with her, or more recently, when her birthday comes around, I think how young she was when she left. . .  anyway, I wish you peace today and hoping some joy creeps in with loving memories you hold dear. . .

Well have I got a Christmas Party Story to share. . .  Last year I did not go, mostly because I did not feel connected to anyone in any great way and also because the party is up near where the home office is, over 120 miles away.  So this year I decided what the heck, let me go to have the experience at least once, as I only hear great things about the place they hold it.  Well I left here at 4:20 for the drive up, they had limos for us, but those would take us there and back to the office and since I don't live local to my office, I was like I'll drive, this way I can leave when I want and save 2 hours of drive time. . .  party was wonderful, everything first rate, I made good food choices, sushi, clams on the half, one mini dessert. . .  anyway, I go to leave the party at 9:30, two of the gals who work in my office, did not enjoy the ride up in the limo and wanted to take the train back and I offered to drop them off, so I get my coat, go to the valet to get my car and after a few minutes they ask me to describe my car, the license plate and then inform me that my keys cannot be found. . .  I'm like ok, so now what, we look at the keys hanging up, none of them are mine. . .  now it is 10 and the girls have a very short time to get to the last train, they scoop them up and race them there, while they call AAA for me.   This is one of those "God remaining anonymous moments". . .  last week I could not find my keys in my bag, duh, happens all the time, because I carry a suitcase, not a pocketbook, so I grabbed my spare key and raced to the car, found my regular set and threw the extra in my back seat, so I would not lose it.  Saturday when I was taking something out of the back seat I saw the key there and said, ok, I'll take it back later, as I did not want to drop it between the car and the house. . .  well you guessed it, the key saved my butt last night. . .  AAA got in my car and there was my spare, which also happens to have spare house keys, how amazing is that, of course, I got home way later than planned and am in short supply of sleep today, oh well, it all could have been lots worse.  Now I just need them to find my keys. . .  they think that because of the amount of cars they were moving, one of the guys stuck the keys in his pocket and the keys fell out into some else's car. . .

Well that's my story and hope you got a chuckle out of it.

You all have a most wonderful day and wishing peace and strength to those in need.

Hugs, Laureen
