What's on tap for your Wednesday?
Hi Grammylew and my OFF family:
Chilly down here today ... 44 degrees. It's funny, there's a winter weather advisory and the threat of snow ... so we get a note from the executive editor saying if we get snow that does not mean we get a snow day, and our kids can't come into work. And if we have earlier deadlines because of the THREAT of snow ... it's up to us to check to know this; if we can't get in, to call and someone will come and get us. All this for a THREAT of an inch of snow or maybe a little more. I had to laugh ... I realize they don't have salt or plows down here but geez, give me a break.
Those of us from the Midwest were really chuckling over the note. We were offering our scrapers and snowbrushes to anyone who needed a hand.
Oh well, not much happening here. Just work for the next four days, then vacation for nine days. Yippeee! Can't wait.
